A hole in the wall type place with good BBQ. I had the brisket it was super good jalapeños sausage was good and pulled pork I... was not a fan. Fried okra was just average. They were out of half the meats which I found odd. It is worth a try for sure. Read more

Best BBQ both my wife and I ever had. It was so good for lunch that we ordered more to take back to hotel dinner tonight.

We have not been to Jambo's in a couple of years. Last time we were there, the parking lot was packed. When we pulled up... tonight, there were barely three or four cars on the lot. That should have been our hint that this place was not what it usedto be. Half the dining area was closed off and being used as storage. The lady at the front counter, who took our order, waspleasant and did a fine job. The food arrived quickly to our table. From the first bite, we were disappointed. The ribs andbrisket were very dry. What good flavor they had was overshadowed by this. The fried okra was either overcooked or freezerburned. My wife got the mac and cheese side. This turned out to be the highlight of the night. Not sure what changed sincelast time we were there but we hope they figure it out. Read more

I feel a little guilty only giving this place a three because I feel that had I tried it more I might have given it a four.... However, I gave it a three because that's what I saw and had during the one time I was there and I'm not sure I'm goingback. Jumbo has an interesting menu, more varied than a typical barbecue place. They managed to find some new ways to marketthe same old idea of barbecued meat. I can't honestly remember any of them because none of them tempted me that day. Somethingabout barbecue and beans on top of a potato it seems to emanate from my memory. The barbecue itself was good. It was nothingspecial and nothing to merit the premium dollar they were charging for their dinner plates. I paid the same thing at Heim's andthe barbecue and sauces are just flat better. If you're in the area and in the mood for barbecue, there's no reason not to dropin on this barbecue place. But don't make a special effort to get there. It's not that special. Read more

Can I just say wow. This place is amazing I'm from out of state and if this is Texas bbq this has to be the best I had the beef... brisket and it was amazing, and the ribs have to be best I've had the dry rub they use is incredible, you don't want to use bbqsauce in the ribs, and finally the potato well what can I say it is a big as Texas and loaded to the max with smoked meats. Thisis a must go place Read more
