GET THERE EARLY! There was a line when they opened at 11am on Wednesday!! BUT This place is worth any and all hype. People are... very nice and polite. The sausage was perfect cheesy and had great flavor! They didn?t miss on any of our 4 sides. The potatosalad is a ?baked potato salad?. Unique take but holds true to its name! Came in with our family and ordered one of the group meals. It says it feeds up to 4 but I think it means up to 6. That was a... lot of food. The brisket might be the best I've ever had in Texas. The sides are amazing, especially the green beans. We gotburnt ends as well and they did not disappoint. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. Great atmosphere as well. Read more
I was unable to sample everything but what I did try, all of it was good. Plenty of food to eat and some to take home. *Tender,... smoked, hickory taste flavor of pork ribs without the BBQ sauce. Not dry or tough, proportionate amount of meat and each bitechewable to the end. (Some people like a lot of fat on their ribs but I prefer more meat and less fat) *Turkey was moist andyou can taste the smoked flavor. *For the Bacon lovers?plenty of bacon on the Twinkies?large sized jalapeños *Tator Totcasserole good. *Unique spin on the cornbread???? Delicious meat, unfortunately I can?t eat any of the sides because every single one of the options has some kind of dairy in it.... Even the green beans are cooked in butter and the beans which I was told I could eat ended up coming served with a sprinkle ofcheese. Husband said beans were a bit lacklustre but Mac and cheese was excellent. The pork ribs were surprisingly delicious anddidn?t need any additional sauce or seasoning. The brisket was moist and was cooked to a fall apart texture, it was slightlyunder seasoned so really benefited from a bit of sauce. The sauce is more tangy and smoky than sweet and took the brisket to thenext level. Unfortunately couldn?t eat the sausage because it?s full of cheese. Went there on Saturday mid morning for some Texas barbecue with visitors from NYC. Awesome place. Line is a little bit long... just before opening. Mexican spin on Texas style BBQ, "Mexicue". Food is very very good. Beans and brisket were fantastic. Niceenough to let visitors see the smokers and answer questions. Read more
Hurtado has a great vibe & delicious food. We ordered the party platter for our group of 5 and it was amazing! Be sure to order... the Texas twinkies on the side! Hurtado has Texas-sized portions, so we had two extra boxes of food and the price is veryreasonable for what you get. Be sure to get there early for lunch, since the line can be long. When we pulled up the place it was empty so I was a little skeptical, but boy was I wrong ! This place is amazing. We ordered... spare ribs, smoked turkey, smoked chicken, burnt ends, smoked quail, and some sides. So basically we ordered a little bit ofeverything. The tenderness and juiciness of the spare ribs were incredible, there was no need to add any bbq sauce. The mostsatisfying spare ribs I?ve ever had. The burnt ends were meaty and had the perfect amount of fat. The smoked turkey was burstingwith flavor. The quail was sweet with a hint of smoke. The skin of the chicken was crispy with a Smokey flavor. If you have totry one side you definitely HAVE to try the hash chili elote . It is definitely the most delicious corn I?ve ever had. The spicethat?s in the smoked corn really blends well together, leaving you with an explosion of flavors in your mouth. The servicealone deserves a 10/10 . From the minute you walk into the door you?re greeted and assisted with such impeccable hospitality.While eating, we were checked on to see how everything was multiple times. It was nice to know that they really cared about ourexperience. We even got to see the smoke pits in the back. Definitely if you?re in the area stop by. You won?t regret it! We loved it and this will be our go to any time we are in town!!! The brisket was just falling apart and the ribs were perfectly... done. The potato salad was my favorite side and my kids loved the macaroni and cheese!! It was all yummy we all complimented themeal the kids liked everything and they usually find something they don't.
