Have not been here in awhile. Food was better than expected. Service was great. Only problem was my daughter was rushing me, or... I would have enjoyed it more. Was definitely disappointed in lunch at the El Fenix in Arlington. Service was excellent and food was hot, but food taste and... quality have taken a nosedive at El Fenix in last three years. Have been eating at El Fenix got over 40 years. Portions are muchsmaller and good quality is poor at best. Enchiladas taste completely different from what they were like just give years ago.This was probably my last visit to El Fenix which deeply saddens me. I now understand why so many of their locations haveclosed. If they don?t improve quickly, the entire chain won?t last long. Read more
We have been customers for years, but this is it?DONE! We don?t mind spending good money on good food, but this location hasn?t... been able to get a to-go order made correctly on a consistent basis since the pandemic began. Today we ordered combo fajitas fortwo and two margaritas to-go for $55. Due to me being gluten intolerant, we ordered half corn/half floor tortillas. The nicegirl that took the order over the phone entered the order in correctly, but the kitchen gave us all flour tortillas, so I had notortillas for my dinner. Also, the fajita chicken was so incredibly dry. This order was picked up at 4:15pm on a weekday, sothere were very few cars in the parking lot. There is no excuse for this kind of negligence from the kitchen when they wereempty. We called back to the restaurant and the manager refused to get on the phone. Save your hard earned money and go to anyother Mexican food restaurant in the area or prepare it at home, this place is not worth your time or money. Read more

The food is delicious but the service we had was atrocious. Our server didn't bother refilling any drinks (even the water).... Margaritas were advertised on the menu as coming with a salted rim with lime (standard for margaritas) but did not. On the plusside, the Dos-a-rita came with a lime & a full-size bottle of Dos Equis. We waited so long for everything we were there forover 2 hours. They weren't super busy and other diners came and went with decent service from other servers, but ours was awful.We ordered sopapillas but after waiting nearly 30 minutes for them we ended up flagging down the server & asking for the bill.He immediately brought the sopapillas.
