This was $5.50??? Ridiculous!! ???? heard great reviews and I get this pathetic small container with a few cookies.
The food was good but that?s the only reason I didn?t give 1 ?? Reasons of dislike: staff wasn?t all that friendly, bugs on the... floor, paper towel dispenser empty in the bathroom was empty, but the biggest reason was the ridiculously small serving sizes. Ieven asked the guy preparing my food if that was seriously all the best he was giving me. I couldn?t believe it. My 3 meatplate/dinner consisted of 2 ribs, not even half a piece of sausage and a small serving of brisket. Sides were the samesituation. Small small and small. Loved it!! The meat was tender, and the presentation of the platter was excellent. We ordered ribs and it was more than enough... as well as two side dishes, and the Dickies brownie. I was most impressed with how clean the countertops were and the trays thatare used continuously. The ladies room was a five star, the floors were clean to and from the restroom. Service here was top notch, they were very welcoming and polite answering questions. Brisket and chicken were great with the... sauce. Onion rings were good and they give you onions and pickles as a side. I enjoyed the beans as well. Read more
Just arrived in Dallas for the first time. 2 people I asked randomly about BBQ both recommended Dickey's. So we found one on the... map and dropped in. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were soo nice and receptive to my questions. That gets them the5th star. I like nice people!! We had 2 meat platters. The BBQ beans were great. So was the loaded mashed potatoes. Those were2 of 12 side I had to choose from. The Ham, Brisket and pulled pork were all pretty good. The pulled pork was a little dry,maybe that is how it is done in Texas. BBQ Sauce, that's what everybody loves right? There's is a little sweet with a nicepeppery kick at the end. It was good. That took care of the brisket!! Very generous portions too, I did not have to back and askfor more of anything. Walking in I saw a drive through. Maybe this could be classified as fast food BBQ...but it was good. Likea Chipotle, everything is dished up right in front of you as you walk the line. Priced right for the quality. They have a niceaffordable kids option too. 1 meat, any side (mac n cheese) and a drink. TV screens all around for the big game and a prettydecent sized bar. This place just keeps getting better and better and is one of our favorite restaurants when we are in town. It located near the... Texas Ranger Ballpark, Six Flags, the Dallas Cowboys Stadium and Hurricane Harbor. It is also near hotels, banks, gas stationsand a Walmart. We ordered the Strawberry Margaritas and it is so good. Best one I've had in years. The food is delicious andalways well served. I always leave full. The fries and okra are made to order. The Potato Salad is yum. This restaurant is bothfamily friendly and sport fan friendly for sure. The restrooms, tables, and restaurant is always clean. And there is an outdoorpatio with a T.V as well.
