The drive thru is the slowest out of every chicken express I've ever been to. That speaker system is raggedy in the drive thru... so I had to pull up front and order at the window. After ordering they had me pull around the front to park and wait for myorder. The next 2 cars had to do the same thing. The woman brought my food out after 10 minutes and was very friendly. I thinkif they fix whatever hiccups they have running the drive thru they'll be good. Read more
Ordered two piece Fish Fillets 2ea chicken tenders coleslaw and corn on the cob. The fish was tasteless. Its the corn batter or... what ever you use absolutely no flavor and 1/4 inch thick. The Chicken Strips same same thing, same batter tasteless and mythumb was thicker than the strips and about 5/6 inches long. My dog wouldn't even eat one. Got cold fries. I can't figure outhow you folks stay in business. Serving tasteless food. The Hush Pups were good except too small like a marble. Had to bite intoa green jalapeño and cilantro to add flavor to my mouth. Next time I crave some good fast food chicken I'll go across thestreet to KFC or Chester's where they have the biggest strips and great flavor. Your coleslaw was good. Bought all that chicken, and y'all can't give me no gravy?! What's up with that? I made it all the way home only to discover... they cheated me out of gravy that I paid for. I went back to get my gravy and they got all defensive. Skip this location and goelsewhere. Food was cold, customer service was lacking, and my tenders could've been better. ALWAYS LEAVE OFF ITEMS!!! It ruins the dining experience when your sides, extra rolls or drink are not delivered. Refunding is... not enough because the meal was ruined by half the items left out of the bag for delivery orders!! Additionally, they force youto purchase a gallon of tea NOT allowing delivery of drinks other than sodas. I cannot drink sodas or anything carbonated!! Read more
As a former GM over two locations, and a trainer who worked directly with the company's founder opening new locations... I was... quite disappointed with my recent visit to this store. The kitchen was messy, the back of house prep line was cluttered andmessy, the "peanut butter" (they will know what this means) box was within sight, oily and visibly leaking. The tub of tendersthat was on top of the prep station while I ordered was STILL up there when I was done with my meal... not refrigerated orhandled safely. There were storage boxes at the last table near the restrooms, which were not cleaned recently and trashoverflowing. The cook handled raw food, then his personal drink (in the kitchen area), and then handled raw food again withouthand washing in between. The gravy cup provided with tenders was only a little over half full ... other locations startedusing smaller cups, this ine still has the original size but seems to be only partially filling them (seen this on more than onerecent visit). This location is one of the "older" designs but some updating is visible. It needs to be better maintained...much needed deep cleaning should also be a top priority. I've been here several times and always enjoyed it... but this mostrecent visit has me concerned that this location may be in decline. I always order a variety of food (reciept provided) tosample each and get my "fix" in one visit. This time, the tenders were decent, but obviouslynot as fresh as preferred and thebreast was a little dry suggestingit was also not very fresh the fries were great but the rolls were slightly hard. I usually go to the location in Mansfield (on 287) or on Sublet. I sent my husband to this location and I figured the Gizzards... would be fresh. Therefore, I didn't advise him to ask for a fresh batch. My Gizzards were old, the roll was hard and it lookslike a Gnat was inside the cup ????????. I usually look inside my cup before drinking, but didn't. It was just a disappointmentall around. FYI, Gizzards cannot be left out or reheated multiple times; they will lose its texture and become hard and thecolor of the meat will turn dark. Read more
I have tried a lot of chicken express. But this one is the best. Okra is fried to perfection. Chicken tenders are perfect. Not... every chicken express gets the okra fries and chicken tenders fries in the right consistency. Absolutely love it. Fish jalapeñopoppers are another big treat. Awesome taste. Staff is super attentive to details. Will be back this weekend. Read more
