Reviews for Mr. Sushi in Arlington, MA
Just ok. The maki rolls were not bad, but the seaweed is very salty. The scallion pancakes were soggy and truthfully just didn?t... taste very good. I would go back for some rolls in the future, but that?s it. Read more
A true gem of Arlington. We've lived in the Atown for 12 years and Mr Sushi has been our go-to... our rock for the entire... time. The straight-ahead, unpretentious Japanese menu never fails to satisfy. I write this very review as I am polishing offsome salmon, shrimp, and unagi nigiri with some oshitashi (spinach), edamame, and shumai on the side. Delicious! When youorder togo they are always polite and friendly on the phone. They get your order right and they pack it up really nicely. Whenyou go into the restaurant the servers are friendly and efficient. They get to you quickly and the food usually comesquickly. One thing I really like is the ambience... the lighting is subdued but not dim and they play really good jazz... notsmooth, adult contemporary, mind you... but quality stuff that compliments the menu beautifully. Obviously, I am a big fan ofMr Sushi... which, despite its sort of laughable name, is a very solid, tasty, cozy, friendly place to eat. 5 stars Read more
When I lived in Arlington, Mr. Sushi was my go-to sushi place. Now I live about 3 hours away, and I still make a point to go... every time I'm in the area. Everything I've had is great, but I was delighted to discover that they make scallion pancakes thebest way. Instead of frying them up to be crunchy frisbees, they cook them so that they are soft and chewy. If you like thatstyle of scallion pancake, you have to get one here. The seafood scallion pancake is my favorite, but all the versions aregreat. Read more
Good sushi place we got delivered via GrubHub. Overall the quality was very good as were the portions - we got a sushi for 2... platter. Value was in line with other places in the area and delivery was pretty quick. Read more
Fantastic food, great menu, cozy atmosphere, and reasonably priced. Not much more you could ask for in a Sushi restaurant. Can't... wait to return in the future! Read more
This place is quite yummy! We have a couple of Japanese restaurant in town, and this is one of the good ones. We liked our food!
Overall, it was good. The interior was simple and modern. As for the food, the sushi was average. Nothing spectacular with... decent choices. I had better. What shined was the rolls. Their rolls were flavorful and well presented. One more thing: they arebite sized. What I like about eating sushi and rolls in Japan is that each piece is bite-sized to be eaten in one bite. Manysushi bars in America have the sizes wrong. They are so big one had to break apart a piece to eat it. This is so wrong. Anyhow, their sushi and rolls are bite sized as they should be. For those who want quantity, the portion size may be considered smallerthan other comparable places, but for us, it was perfect. Not too much and not too little. Read more
