Reviews for Sazan in Ardsley, NY
Good, NO, GREAT Udon soup. Good ambiance and helpful service. A bit pricey, but worth it. Will go back.
Will not serve children, most preposterous thing I?ve ever encountered. I?ve eaten with my children in restaurants around the... world. Will not patron, arrogant and rude. Read more

I have been eating here for more than 20 years, traveling from The Bronx by bus or car to get here. The food and drinks have... always been above par (Okay, sensational actually!). I originally started going here because of their sake selections, but theirvoluminous menu of appetizers, specials and main dishes is incomparable and if you're daring enough, they have theirextra-special Japanese menu! I'm sorry for anyone who thinks they are too expensive, but this is NOT gas station sushi, as onesuper-obnoxious reviewer (who shall, deservedly so, remain nameless) on another site stated so snidely, but that is the priceyou pay for freshly, cleanly prepared excellence! Relaxed environment, efficient service and some of the best sashimi I have ever enjoyed.
Very solid sushi everytime with good lunch combo. This is a very authentic Japanese restaurant in this town.

I don?t post negative reviews about anything, but in this case, I simply need to share some facts. I always advise contacting... the restaurant, but I know this restaurant doesn?t care. So this is a PSA for those who don?t enjoy being treated badly whilespending a lot of money. I have been here twice. Once in 2019 and once recently. The food is fine and the owners areJapanese. Both times i walked away feeling depressed, but this last time, also angry. The first time, I sat at the bar and thepeople tried to convince me not to because they didn?t believe that we actually liked real Japanese food. The restaurant waslike a funeral and the employees glared at us during our entire meal. I returned recently with my mom and two kids ages 7 and 9to give it another try. They now have two large signs at the door that say that children under five are not allowed. Eventhough my kids are not under 5, I should have turned around and left. Before we could enter, an employee stopped us and askedmy children?s ages. Again, I don?t know why I didn?t just leave. Again.. the atmosphere was that of a wake. Apparently speakingis also not allowed. We whispered during the entire meal. $180 later, we all walked out feeling guilty for existing. I havegiven up on finding a delicious and authentic Japanese restaurant in Westchester county and yes I have tried them all. I?llstick to Sushi Mikes where I know the fish is excellent and I won?t be treated badly. Read more
