Best steak around and the price is even better! Meal comes with a house salad (nothing fancy but I love their homemade... dressing), all you can eat bread and greaseless potatoes (my kids come for these!), and the melt in your mouth steak. Oh by theway order the mushrooms, I hated mushrooms until I had Lindey's! Atmosphere looks original and we love it. Service most of thestaff has worked here decades and are good at what they do. Lindsey's Special is definitely amazing! The chopped steak is also amazing! Worth every penny. The portions are definitely... sharable especially if you get the mushrooms...(highly recommend!!! Wish they had sautéed onions you could order) Warning theirbread is good and phenomenal if you dip in the steak juices. This was the first time i experienced service being marginal. Second time at Lindey's. Got the special sirloin because it's a dollar more and the more tender center cut. Delicious and cooked... perfectly medium rare. Our server Lori B. was great and very friendly. I personally recommend eating half your steak and fillingup on the potatoes as much as possible. They're the best I've had almost anywhere. This place was great. Very simple food but hits all the spots. Taste, texture, temp and presentation was amazing. Our waitress... Jennifer was awesome. She explained how the limited menu works. They basically have steak or shrimp, bread and potatoes. It?s sogood. The steak was cooked perfect, had a nice crust on it and tasted delicious. The potatoes were garlicky and were a perfectcompliment to the steak. The bread came out right away and was enjoyed throughout the entire meal. Free refills on bread,potatoes and soda. We tried Lindsey?s Prime Steak House for lunch today, which is located at: 3600 Snelling Ave N, Arden Hills, MN 55112. The... decor and atmosphere remind me of a restaurant up north in Grand Marais, MN. It had a real warm and cozy cabin like appeal. Mywife and I ordered Lindy?s Special Sirloin for $35.95 to share. We were told there is an extra plate charge for $12.95, as theygive you an extra plate, an extra salad, and additional potatoes. When the Special Sirloin arrived it appeared to be a sirloinroast, which we would need to carve slices out of for ourselves. It looked absolutely mouth watering! Our waitress cut thesirloin roast in half and gave us each a plate with half of the sirloin on it. The Lindsey?s Sirloin Special is on the dinnermenu and we decided to share it for lunch. We were both stuffed and had difficulty finishing it. How was it? Not nearly asgood as it looked. While it wasn?t tough, it was extremely chewy and for $36 one would expect it to melt in your mouth. Ittasted great, the potatoes were yummy, the salad dressing was delicious, and the garlic bread was pretty good too! We?ve heardreally good things about Lindsey?s from friends and maybe we just got an overly chewy Sirloin Special, which was an anomaly, ormaybe that?s how they?re always chewy. Had never been there before. Loved the short, straight, and to the point menu of steak. That's what they do and boy do they have... it perfected. We brought our kiddos but thank goodness we were able to get them a burger and chips. Will probably leave themwith a sitter next time, hehe. Also loved the homey atmosphere. Our server was awesome. This has to be a favorite of pretty much everyone! I mean...what's not to love? Classic Supper Club type setting, RIGHT in the... middle of the city. The simplest of menu/options, using the highest quality ingredients. All being served by a family [literally& figuratively] who understands hospitality and serving others - even the Matriarch of the family PERSONALLY carving each steaktable-side. If you live in the area and have never been...do NOT miss this place! If you are traveling through the area...doNOT miss this place!
