This is an update on 9/24/22 from my 7-month earlier 2-star review. I now give them 5 stars. Food portions were generous, and... was very good. Very friendly and attentive staff. My earlier review from 7 months earlier: I have been going to whateverrestaurant is in this location since I was an HSU student 30 years ago. I have ordered "Karen's potato's" many times. One buysthat because they are hungry. It is basic food. My potato's came on what is probably an 8 or 9 in plate. My food-mates receivedtheir omelettes on a much larger oval plate. They had likely 40% more food, for the same $14 cost. There were more potato's asa side dish on their dish than as the main ingredient on mine. I was hungry afterwards. I let it go last time, but this istheir second-time sin. I am disappointed and in a funk. I want to give them a good review. I want them to succeed. I am gladthey came back after a deviating fire. I'll give them a couple months and try again only once more. I'll update this review ifthings change. Otherwise it's back to bagels. My wife just reminded me about the service. We waited 20 min to order. Got ourcoffee after another 10. Received requested water after meals were done. No coffee refill until meals done. All restaurantshave bad days, so your mileage may vary. I love to get their Clam Chowder. I'd love to try their French Toast breakfast, but maybe one day. However, overall it seems... like a very good cafe to visit if you're in town. It's a nice place situated in the square. ????????? Read more

Wow! That was great! Just finished my breakfast pancakes. The restaurant was clean, staff was very friendly and topped off our... coffee. The gravy was a bit weird and not amazing but everything else was great. Even the toilet was clean, however the urinalwas very low. Would come again! Read more
OK, but not as great as the reviews suggest. I got an omelette, home fries, and a buttermilk pancake. I had to pay extra for... the pancake. You couldn't add it as a side. The waiter was good, but when I asked him which was better here, pancakes orfrench toast he didn't have an opinion. The omelette was OK, but only so. The home fries where very basic and bland. Theyweren't crunchy at all. Cooked but kind of mushy. The pancake was good but overcooked a little. The hot chocolate was watery. Nice atmosphere. Next time I'll go somewhere else that has better food. Read more
Maybe the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had, and I've sampled a lot. Same for the sausage patty- remarkable. Class place.
