Wow I've had a lot of sushi and this was easily the freshest and best tasting I've ever had! I got the taco Tuesday special,... one spicy tuna and one lemon salmon sushi taco and they were both incredible. The flavors are delicate and well balanced. Ordered Obento during a college visit from the Bay Area. Had the chicken katsu, veggie sushi and croquettes. The food was fresh,... full of unique flavor (kimchi sauce on takuan was awesome!) and the portions were just right. The stuffed inari pockets are apersonal fav. The menu was simple and had pleasing options for all of us. We hope our teen chooses HSU so we can eat here moreoften! Read more

This placed showed up out of nowhere on my doordash and I'm so happy they did! They're very unique. The plates seem small, but I... am always surprised with how full I am after I eat. The chicken katsu is BOMB. I love the spicy aioli and the pickled radishes.Prices are fair and definitely worth it. Would recommend. Read more
Wonderful food. Best chicken katsu I've had in Humboldt for sure. Tender juicy tasty chicken, good crispy breading, and a sauce... that was actually flavorful instead of just tasting like some sort of bbq'd alcohol goop. It is a ghost kitchen tho so there'sonly to go available, and I went not knowing this so I had to order in the cold with a worker that poked her head out of a doorfor ordering and taking payment. I will order online or call it in and pick up from now on for the intended experience. Read more
