A good restaurant with a very nice decor and typical Nayarit seafood plates like camarones a las diabla, al ajo, aguachiles,... ceviches, and empanadas. I was so happy to find this place in the middle of nowhere. The camarones al ajo plate was set in avery traditional style with it's salad, beans, and white rice soup. Although the rice portion was rather small and the salad wasnot very good. Typically the salad is made simply with iceberg lettuce, tomato, and onion. I see some older pictures where itshows that style but for some reason I got a different one. The shrimp had good flavor. I didn't see the salsa Huichol, perhapsit's upon request. Read more

Arbuckle is an incredibly small but cute town. There's only a handful of places to get food here, but El Capi has some very good... food. They do have non-seafood items as well, but I did not get a chance to try them. I had the shrimp tacos which were Soo goodespecially with the sauces they give you. I?ve been eating my was across NorCal for the past 2 weeks, I seek out Mexican joints with good reviews. So far this is the... BEST food I?ve had since I?ve been trying a new place everyday. Just so you know they are a Seafood Restaurant...they do notspecialize in asada or anything else a typical taqueria offers. The shrimp the server recommended was killer; kind of amazing.We also order the shrimp empanadas which also exceeded my expectations. All in all I?d say you must visit this sleepily little town for the food alone. My wife was skeptical when we exited the freeway, but the road less traveled had a great surprise forus. LEGIT one of the best meals I?ve had in a while. Tucked away in the sleepy town of Arbuckle, Mariscos El Capi is a true hidden... gem. Stopped in here on a whim after hunting at Colusa refuge, just down the road a bit, and was impressed with everything theyhad to offer. Fresh ceviche and chips right when we sat down, followed by some crazy good shrimp and prawn plates. Loud music,friendly service, stellar food. Read more
