Was looking around Aptos for some property early on a Saturday morning. Place is a little off the beat and path. Needed some... coffee. Got a mocha. They do it well. Have a nice seating area. Good selection of pastries. Would go again. Read more
I don't drive this way often but when I do, I make sure I stop by here and grab a delicious latte and burrito! Anything I have... tried here on the menu is great! The live music and family feel-good vibes here really make the experience worthwhile. The ownerand staff are fun social people to chat it up with and make you feel so welcome. I used to come here a lot when it was a different business (almost a decade ago). Been a while, but I came in with a healthy... dose of skepticism... but I am SOLD. The macha latte is divine. Cute place, great location. My coffee is basic. Breve latte with brown sugar which is hard to get wrong. I removed two starts... because I thought it was extremely lame that she actually charged me .75 cents for a scoop of brown sugar. I am the type ofperson who visits a town and tries every single locally owned coffee shop. Never in the over 100 plus coffee shops that I havehad the pleasure of trying all over the Western Hemisphere have I ever ever once been charged for sugar. So because i asked for?brown sugar? that was a special request syrup charge worthy of half the price of a box of brown sugar. Its not that big of adeal but worth mentioning and enough to not go back. A small latte only half full at that because it was more like a cappuccinofull of foam for 6.50? Hard pass. Starbucks is next door to my bungalow and the same coffee was 5.00. I also was turned off byseeing Costco muffins at a locally owned place. I like when they bake their own or source locally from other bakers. So Iremoved a star for that too.
