My fiancé and I decided to take our 1 year old son out to red lobster last night because we have a red lobster outfit and... thought it would be the perfect place for him to wear it. The dinner was not enjoyable. Spent nearly $100 to leave full platesat the table. The only items that were finished were our drinks. My fiancé ordered the Cajun Chicken Linguini Alfredo and gotchicken linguini alfredo. I got the grilled chicken caesar salad and the calamari appetizer. When our server dropped off ourfood I asked for an extra marinara and that was the last time we saw her until we were getting ready to leave. Turns out Ididn’t even need it because the calamari was really chewy and smelled fishy. I didn’t want to make my partner feel bad so Istomached some down drenching it with the marinara I did have. My salad had tons of brown soggy leaves and hardly any dressingso I spent more time picking at it than I did eating it. My fiancé got up to find our server to ask for the bill but ended uppaying it with the manager. Our server didn’t come back with the extra marina until we were getting ready to leave. She didapologize for forgetting. Our son is 1 and doesn’t color, yet we were charged $1.99 for crayons he didn’t use because hetried putting one in his mouth right away. On top of that we had a man across the area who was sitting alone just staring at mypartner and son the whole time. We turned my son’s back to him but didn’t want to make a scene or be rude so we triedignoring him until he approached us asking if we would mind his company. Great lunch! Ryan was our server - friendly, funny & efficient! Food was excellent- exactly what we ordered. We have plenty left... for dinner. I ordered the pick your salad, appetizer (shrimp cocktail) & meal (broiled salmon). Good deal on that combo too! Ialso had a Berry Sangria - pretty - kind of fruity/koolaidish. Good food. Very polite waitress. Only issue is that you can tell they are struggling with staff. Half the tables stay empty.... Wait staff is swamped. The kitchen seems swamped. The waiting times can be easily over an hour. Great place for sure, but youcan tell the lack of staff is hurting the overall experience. Still definitely recommend this place. Just be prepared for longerthan usual waits. Wait staff, keep killing it, your efforts are noticed. Read more

Good help is hard to find - we get it. Although there were lots of empty tables, the wait was 20-25 minutes. We were willing to... wait and put our name on the list and told the hostess we would wait in the bar. We watched people who came in after us getseated and the host walked past us twice. We finally asked and she said she had called us. Hmmm. Our server was fine. The waitfor food was a bit long considering how few tables were seated. The plates were hot and the food was warm.
