Never disappointed when it comes to this place. The service is always outstanding, the food taste absolutely delicious, and it... never takes long to arrive either. If ever in the Appleton area? this is a must dine-in-restaurant; that I highly recommend. Theambience is simply exquisite and the decor is superb. It?s the perfect atmosphere for friendly group gatherings, a nice intimatedinner setting or just out-and-about with the family. Read more

We visited after a recommendation to try Yakiniku. Our Sunday visit allowed us to get reservations, so I am curious how long the... wait would be on a Friday or Saturday as they do not take reservations those days. My initial impressions reminded me of theold location, but I did not remember it being quite so dark. Our booth seats left us with sore backs after our meal, as itleft us leaning forward due to the seat backs being so deep/almost non existent. Our server was great, although she seemed tobe the only one attending the entire area during our visit. She was working her butt of yet was pleasant and polite. That beingsaid we noticed 3 hosts just hanging out in the front, a better balance may be needed to help the servers. Our meal was good, the grill had a learning curve. It seemed to be getting a draft from somewhere that left the flames being pushed to one side. This left one side ice cold and the other extremely hot, we had to find the sweet spot. The cuts of meat we received weregood. Our sushi we ordered was very fresh and visually appealing. First word out of both of our mouths was, awesome. Weclumsily ate our sushi with the provided chop sticks before shamefully asking for a fork for our meal. Read more

The sushi looked good (I did not partake). The fried tofu was great! We had the hibachi and it was solid. Not spectacular, but... good. It was a quality meal and show. Service was A+ for sure! Love the masks on the wall. Read more

5 Stars for Sushi? 2 Stars for Hibachi? ???? This is our go-to sushi place if we want to sit down and dine in! Great prices,... great portions! The service is consistent and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. ????????????????????????? The hibachihowever is a different story. We?ve been to several different chain?s or hibachi restaurants around the country (and world), andthey all tastes relatively similar! Never in my life have I disliked hibachi until here. Our hibachi chef was funny, but thatwas the only good part. It?s a 2.5 hour commitment?too long, once your whole table is seated! We left early and skipped the icecream dessert. All the food was either mediocre or not good at all. Miso soup, bland. Ginger salad, bland and over dressed.Fried Rice, bland and dry. Filet mignon and shrimp were horrifically over cooked ???? Vegetables, bland. And all of this couldhave been remedied with the always delicious, creamy Yum Yum sauce that every other Japanese steakhouse in the country carriesEXCEPT FOR Katsu-Ya ???? Let?s just say I was a very disappointed pregnant woman who was craving a steak and shrimp hibachidinner doused in Yum Yum sauce and was deeply let down. (We took our unwanted leftovers home after a stop at Woodman?s for someYum Yum sauce ????) Read more
