Beautiful bar, high prices and decent service. They are selling excellence but delivering mediocrity. My salad was drowning in... dressing and the short rib sandwich was ok but impossible to eat without falling apart and making a mess. The room wasbeautiful. Read more
Our waitress Kali was wonderful! She let us take our time in ordering. Checked in to see if everything was fine and if we needed... anything else. I was with a friend so we took our time eating. Our food was amazing! I had the brussel sprout app and sideCeasars salad for my meal. Those sprouts were to die for! So much flavor. Yum! My friend had the blacken Mahi Mahi tacos. Food was OK. Flavor combinations are a bit dated. It was everything I expected it to be. Medicore , slightly over priced, and... adequately prepared. The service was good. With all the great food available in Appleton it doesn't do much to stand out. Seemslike a great place if you're age is late 40s and early 50s and your idea of good food is food network circa 2015. That rice with cheese and steak was so nice? ???? Try the sangría, not the best but good.
I used to really enjoy this restaurant. I recently stopped in with a friend and had the whitefish tacos and they were extremely... spicy.... it was really disappointing. I have had them several times in the past and they were nowhere near that spicy. The menuhas also gotten smaller. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent! Houdini's is probably the best food in Appleton. I'm glad they stick to a menu that is meant to be non-negotiable as far as... substitutions go. I had the beet salad and the lamb lollipops and was nothing but impressed. Great service too, I highlyrecommend stopping by. @dietproof Read more
