Great place good food and just enough to fill you. Prices are very reasonable this place won't break the bank. Dinners come... with a dessert just you would have at your grandma's house! I like the place very much. Been there now at least 3 times haddifferent meals each time and all have been very good! Come check them out for yourself either alone or with your family. Stopped in on Wednesday morning to see what the hype was all about. No clear direction where to go or stand until you reach the... register in the middle of the restaurant. We were greeted with a 'How many' by a woman who then asked if we wanted to sitanywhere specific. She tossed our menus on the table that still had a tip left from the previous guests, and walked away. Menuis packed with a lot of options. Prices seemed reasonable. The young lady we had as a server was polite. Once we ordered itwas clear she didn't know the menu. When our food was brought out, our orders were miss matched as our eggs were on the wrongplates. The food itself wasn't bad, just had zero seasoning leaving it bland and flavorless. The saving grace was the homemadewhite toast. We will have to come back and try other menu items. Great place to eat for anyone. Very nice atmosphere the locals I talked with while I was there was so nice. The food was great I... had the Pork Chop dinner and the Chicken and Dumplings soup which was so good. Mike the waiter super nice guy and recommendedthe dinner. The people that live in the area said this restaurant has been here for years and everyone loves coming here. I cansee why. It's a great place to bring your family or by yourself or even a date. The prices were very reasonable and the service was awesome even though they were a little bit busy you can't get a better steak... for the price that they offer it could have used a little bit more seasoning but overall came out perfect and the breakfast arehuge. If you haven't been to this place even if they're busy they still offer great service go try them out. The place was veryclean and the staff was very nice. Read more

This was our first time visiting this restaurant but not this location. Black Bear reopened what was previously a diner as well.... We attempted to visit the past weekend but could not find any parking available. I believe the diner has a lot more capacity forcustomers than they may have for parking. As such, if you can manage to park, I do not believe you will feel crowded inside. Onthis day, a Thursday morning around 9:30, parking was still at a premium but there were perhaps 4 spots available. Once inside,we quickly located the cash register/host station and waited as it was unattended. Unsure if we were to seat ourselves, wesimply waited hoping any of the employees walking by would politely tell us someone will be with us shortly. None did.Disappointing as it would have made a great first impression and perhaps turned this 4 star review into a 5 star. Thecashier/host returned and he was very friendly and we were promptly seated in a spacious booth and a server came by withinminutes with our water. Our server was friendly as well and not one of the employees that basically ignored us when weentered. The menu was quite extensive and provided quite the variety that generally makes me believe the food will be good butnot great. We were here for breakfast so that is where our focus was. I ordered a Ham skillet with a side of sausage gravy whilemy wife ordered the Gyro and eggs. The gyro was exceptional according to my wife as she stated she would order Greek Gyrosandwich should we return for lunch. The Ham skillet was good but not great. I am used to skillets having the meat andvegetables diced and easier to make sure I could get a little of everything in every bite with the potatoes served underneath.With the larger pieces of vegetables and ham, I found I was eating more potatoes toward the end. Ok, wow. What a pleasant surprise. We usually go to visit another breakfast place for my birthday but it was not open so we... decided to give Black Bear a try. So very excited that we did. We each had an omelette with hash browns and home made bread.Service was so quick and so friendly. We will definitely be back. Now I understand why the parking lot always looks so packed. Read more
