Our first time here and never again will be coming back! My kids and I love pizza and thought we give this pizza place a try!... This restaurant fails to understand the value of a customer especially when they were told this was our first time there! Iunderstand the elderly lady and gentleman are the owners of this business who took and accepted payment for our take-out order.While we were waiting for our food, the rain came down and my two kids decided to eat in so we asked if we could instead sit andeat. The lady owner didn't seem interested in our request, even though there were at least 4 other tables still vacant, and toldus to wait so she could get the tables cleaned. In the meantime, another family comes in and they were seated right awaywhile we still waiting for our turn. Finally, we got seated, the gentleman, the owner brought our food, no water no silverware,and no napkins were brought to us! During the course of our dining, not once did the owner or any of their employees show anyinterest or come to ask about our meals; however, we noticed several times that they checked on other paying customers just likeus at other tables. I asked the owner if we could have some water, and I was happy to pay for that (water is the first thingserved without being asked at all restaurants we have been to) and he didn't seem to understand instead kept cleaning nearbytables. My daughter asked again if we could have water and still nothing. At this point I told my kids we need to leave thisplace as there are no words to describe the feeling when the owners themselves are not interested in having our business!Bottom line is, what made us different from the other paying customers? I met Vick playing golf and he told me about his pizza place. We ordered last night and we're very happy with the food and... service. The place was packed when I went in to pick up, but they serviced quickly. Vick recognized me immediately and gave mea welcoming smile. We have found our go to pizzeria!! And hopefully Vick can take his time to play some golf during the week. Read more
Searching for a place in Apex that was open on Mondays was a chore. Came across Mezza Luna and saw the owners were Italian and... had restaurants in NY and are now settled in Apex. We got dishes with the moon as those are their specialties. Mom in law gotthe baked zitti alla vic, hubbie got chicken mezza Luna and I got a bianca personal.pizza. we also got Mozzarella sticks andarancini di riso. Everything was delicious! The white wine sauce had the right amount of salt and tasted buttery to me... not tothin and not to thick. The sauce on the ziti was very good. My pizza was amazing and I added crumbled sausage. There are morethings on the menu I'd like to try. Service was good and friendly. I highly recommend giving it a try. Read more
We've been going to Mezza Luna for pizza every week since they opened a year ago. All of their pizzas delicious and authentic... New York pizza. We recently tried something new and ordered a grandma pie with veggies and ricotta cheese. It was so good! Ihighly recommend Mezza Luna!! Read more
AMAZING!!!!! We are from Philly and haven't had NY pizza like this in years. The dough is superb, the blend of sauce and cheese... is perfection. We got a regular pie and the grandma's pie and both were amazing in their own ways. The fresh basil made thegrandma's pie so delicious. Some parts of the crust were crunchy but overall it was excellent. We got takeout on a Friday nightand they were BUSY (and rightfully so with how good they are!!) DEFINITELY will be back! Read more
Pizza like I had back home in NY! Vic and Lucy are wonderful and they made me feel at home. This was my second visit and... decided this will be one of my weekend eats! The food was just done really well, tasty. I can close my eyes and enjoy each bit.This time we had a Pizza with spinach and ricotta & Calamari! Their space is wonderfully lit, clean and tastefully done. Its alittle diamond, in our home area, that I feel lucky to have. Read more
The lady that took my order was nice but that?s all I can say! Pizza definitely not good, and the ranch tasted horrible and... super thick. Definitely will never cheat on my pizzeria J&S again. One and done for me. $1 for a tiny cup of ranch smh rip off! Read more
