Frozen yes?..but start off with the onion rings!! Steak was perfect and just melted in your mouth. Baked potato was the perfect... temp and the coleslaw was fresh! Hot chicken sandwich with the stuffing and gravy - OMG Not a fancy place?but you are full whenyou leave and the service never stops - All the staff were helpful!! Dropped in for supper on Saturday night while staying at the coastal inn across the street (I've reviewed them separately) my... wife and I and another couple were very happy not to have to drive to get there. My wife had the Nova Scotia scallop platter, mybuddies wife had the hot chicken sandwich and they both enjoyed them very much. My buddy and I had the mother's best, a bone inNew York rib steak aged 31 to 40 days taken to full heavenly flavour, tender and succulent (as it says in the menu) and man oman is it ever! I usually don't like to pay extra for mushrooms and onions but when they came and I saw how much there was Ieased up on that, had the baked potato and got the steak at medium and it was perfect! Our Server's name was Taylor and she's anabsolute darling, checked with us several times to see if we needed anything and was quick witted and able to give and take ajoke, be sure to ask her how her sister Maddison is if your lucky enough to have for a server. Highly recommend going out ofyour way to eat here, you won't be disappointed. Regrettably I can't speak to the ribs but the locals all rave about them. Bonappetit! Read more

This restaurant was recommended to us by the gas station employee!!! He was right!!! The food is amazing!!! Good steak and I... come from Alberta!!! Onion rings are famous and for good reason! Quality is slipping! It had been at least 3 years since we had eaten here but we remembered it being a great restaurant. We were... looking forward to eating here! 1 out of 4 meals were good! 1 steak was on the salty side! Steaks were perfectly cooked, bakedpotatoes are actually boiled and than wrapped in aluminum to pretend. Desert (apple pie with ice cream) apple pie was not hot. Great roadside diner with good steaks and a modest country atmosphere. Food quality was very good; steaks are buttery and... potatoes are fresh. Service was fast and friendly and worked with accomdations without fuss. A secret local destination tosatisfy hunger. Will definitely visit again. Read more
