Reviews for Bamboo Village Restaurant in Anoka, MN
Jenny the owner is marvelous so I've had to touch up on Traditional Chinese language. Ni Hao Jenny! I'm hoping we hang in there... with the Hwy 10 construction. I love the Que Viet egg rolls and the pork fried rice and it makes 2 lunches for me! Read more

Stopped in for a quick bite and discovered a gem. I love Vietnamese noodle salads with fried egg rolls on top but I've never had... rolls like these. Their rolls are almost 2x as big as most and filled with delicious meat and seasonings. They were so tasty! Wewill definately be going back. Read more
The portions are actually decent and I really enjoy the flavor of their cooking and that's coming from someone who is... Asian-American herself! Nothing is too overly sweet or too overly drenched in a weird sticky sauce. The white rice is fluffy, the orange chicken has good spice, and the fried rice has a good flavor with lovely fluffy egg. I love this place! Their food is excellent but the best thing of all are their giant egg rolls. They are fried crispy and filled... with delicious ingredients. It's what I go there for. They offer large food portions at cheap prices. A real deal! Read more
The service was very good and fast. Most of the food was good, and I'd get them again. The pork fried rice and Pad Thai were... very good and flavorful. The chef delight was ok, but the Mongolian beef was not good at all. The beef was very hard and thedish just tasted old. I would not recommend it, but the other dishes were good and I'd give them another try. Read more
One word. Generic. Nothing personal putting on this review since it's my first time being here. I wasn't expecting much with... this restaurant. Keep in mind this was a very slow 2pm Sunday Afternoon. Service was quick with the food I had which was theHouse special fried rice ($10) and House Pho ($13) which was about 10mins total. The fried rice was good but it tasted just likeany other asian restaurants that I've gone to hence the term generic, nothing special or unique that this place has to offer tome really. The House Pho on the other hand was just too oversalty to me personally, I've had more or less bland Special Pho manytimes but I've never had an oversalty-ness flavor until this one. It came to the point where I was sipping my water and myserver asked me if I wanted a 2nd glass which I didn't even realize I almost drink all of the first glass. Normally I would addsome fish sauce to my pho with it's high content of sodium for that kick but in this case, I didn't have to ask for fish sauce. The side garnishes that's usually served with pho (bean, sprouts, thai basil, lime, etc.) was a little sad to be honest. Thebasil itself was very withered and almost dead, being my first time and trying to be polite I didn't complain because it stillhad a scent of the aroma and fragrance you'd get from the thai basil upon the bite. Overall: The server was quite mindful. Therestaurant felt very quiet and casual with a low volume TV to keep customers occupied while waiting for their food. The fooditself isn't too bad for my experience but not unique nor the best either since I'm well aware now that there's a branchingrestaurant from this company. $13 for House Pho with shrimp though? Reduce the saltiness of the broth then I'd say it's worth ashot. Read more
