I have now come to the 201 Tavern for three visits. My last visit was with a banking customer . We were there for three hours.... I really like the atmosphere here and the way the interior was set up. It looks a lot nicer than most little bar/restaurants.... The coolest part is the glass in the back that shows the outside and the stairs. Gives it a look that you don't see in basicallyany other place. The service is good. Nothing special but it gets the job done. The food (as usual for me at these types ofplaces) is average. Actually.. Oddly enough the chicken tenders weren't even that good. I would recommend not spending too muchhere unless you are into the kind of bar food they have. On a plus, they have pull tabs! Read more
The Tavern Club is a really good sandwich, I find myself craving them! Awesome onion rings but stay away from the French dip,... it's pretty generic. The bar is clean and inviting and the service has always been great. Read more
The club sandwich was really good. The chips that came with it not so much. I prefer regular chips, and these were like... parmasean garlic and were not very good. The bartender was also serving tables, so service was very slow. The bartender wasfriendly, however. The worst part of the visit was the floor. It is so worn out whenever someone walks past you while at the barthe whole floor bounces, and it is incredibly annoying. Read more
This place was absolutely terrific! We came in on a B I N G O night not expecting it. So, we were probably fortunate to get a... booth. WE grabbed some grub and played some decided to play some BINGO while we waited. My lady had steak bites. They wereSUPER tender and cooked perfectly with a tasty horseradish sauce AND some fried veggies with it. I had their mushroom n Swissburger and fresh cut American fries. They served a generous portion and they were outstanding! The burger was done well, maybea little over cooked for my liking, but it was thick, juicy, and delicious still! They also have pull tabs and cocktails, ofcourse, so if that suits your fancy, go nuts. Overall, a terrific first experience. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, prompt service, and delicious food. We ate the stuffed tater tots, duck wontons with sweet and... spicy chili sauce for appetizers. We would order the wontons just for the chili sauce. We ate dinner which was delicious,burger, club sandwich, and beef tip sandwich and had a couple of beers. Good beer choices on tap. I love this place. Great atmosphere and love sitting at the bar with either Gloria or Brandon. The 201 Club is my favorite. Big... portions and great flavors. Try their homemade soups to get next level! Yum! Read more
Terrible experience. A regular customer there. A friend of mine went to order a drink and the bartender called us b*tches... because we were being ignored at the bar and said excuse me.She then said she wanted to fight us and called us all b*tches whilewe walked out the door. We asked for a manger upon returning and were asked what we wanted them to do about it and to leave. This was after I witnessed another costumer in the building have an issue with the same bartender and make a complaint. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never enter this establishment again. Horrible employee and manager. Edit: The business writesfake 5 star reviews if it receives a negative review. Definitely not a coincidence they received 6 5 star reviews at the sameexact time after mine and other customers reviews were posted. Read more
