Recently moved to annapolis from another area in Maryland and decided to try out the place a few blocks from my house. Mistake.... Ordered the Seafood Alfredo, picked it up and walked 5 mins home. It was basically un-seasoned pasta, shrimp and some (supersuspicious looking) chopped up scallops in pasta water with parmesan on top. About 45 minutes after eating it I was immediatelyin the bathroom for almost an hour sick as a dog. Honestly, its a huge bummer because even when ordering pick-up I tip at least20%, I know how hard the industry is and I always try to show my support to small places, but if i had know they were going toserve me pasta water with expired shrimp I wouldn't have even ordered from here. This place is AMAZING! far enough away from the stupidity of the waterfront but close enough where you can park and walk here or... just park out front. Okay, I have the Big "D". And the Diabetes diagnosis hit me 6 months ago and I'm still getting use to it. It's not just about... eliminating sugar, but it's the insulin, the carb check, the inspection of labels and menu to clear a meal. Usually if Ididin't cook ahead, I'll pick up a Sammy's Veggie Pizza which keeps my glucose in check. But how many Veggie Pizzas do youorder when you want to branch out? Today, I mentioned my dilemma to a woman working the orders. She understood immediatelywhat I was lamenting and hooked me up with a side order turned into an entree. In keeping with the veggie theme, the staffgrilled me red pepper, broccoli, mushrooms, spinach and chicken. It was YUMMY. See, there is Life after Death. Two hourslater, no screams from the Dexcom. Sammy's is a hidden treasure with great, made to order food & pizza. You can smell fresh garlic & butter on the way in! Great... atmosphere, now go to take out area to order, then they bring food to your table. Lunch platters v good prices. See pics! Read more

I remember loving Sammy's but maybe I was mistaken. The carryout I got tonight was definitely the last order I'd ever get there.... Calzones were under cooked and overstuffed. Also can't figure out why there was a tiny hand in the (soggy) calamari. Read more

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday afternoon. The place wasn't busy and almost too quiet, a little background music might be nice.... They have a TV that would have been nice to have on.The service was very friendly I had a pizza which I enjoyed. The menu hereis good sized and offer more than pizza.
