If you appreciate top notch service, you won?t be disappointed. Not only was our server knowledge but the rest of the support... was so attentive. Glass was never empty. Plates were cleared promptly. Food came out in perfect timing. You must place yourwhole order at one time (apps and dinner) but don?t worry they will time it perfectly. This was our first visit and we willreturn this fall! I ordered a pasta with shrimp, crab and scallops, my husband the Chilean sea bass, we both loved it. Oh andthe bread is bomb. Served with Seasons (local shop across the street) olive oil. Another place checked off my guide saved list. The lobster bisque should be served as an entree. It's very good. I don't even... want to know the calories. For the main course order parpadelle dish that's listed online menu but not on menu upon dine in. Ilucked out and they had the ingredients on hand. It was worth it. Simple but rich in flavor! Osteria 177 is a niche restaurant with options seldom available anywhere else and you?re paying for that experience. You can... easily tell the food is fresh, well prepared, and made to order by a chef who cares about what they are doing. Our dishes weretasteful but not mind blowing. To fully enjoy Osteria I say you have to fully appreciate higher end culinary experiences andall the tangibles that come with them. The reason I gave a four star rating was due to an awkward misunderstanding we had withthe server regarding the wine we brought. The restaurant has a corking fee for individuals who would like to bring their ownwines. We confirmed both the restaurant?s policy and the wines we were going to bring beforehand. The server misunderstood therules and was reluctant to re-confirm them. We sought out management who made things right but not before an awkward encounterthat put a damper on the experience. The best pasta and seafood I have had in all of Maryland. The seafood is so fresh and cooked to perfection. You truly cannot go... wrong with ANYTHING you choose on the menu. Save room for desert because the two that I tried were magically delicious and sogood!!! Can?t wait to go back! Read more
This place is amazing. Definitely not your typical Italian restaurant. If you live in this area, this restaurant is the closest... you can get to enjoying an authentic Italian dish. Can't believe how AWESOME Service was. Extremely professional, clean, nice and friendly. Dishes were delicious and very fancy.... My only thing was the seafood pasta was extremely delicious however the shrimp had the most strongest seafood taste ever. It wasso strong but I managed to get through it because the rest of the seafood had a better flavor and you don't get a whole lot soit was a perfect amount to kinda overlook. Awesome dining experience, nice relaxing music, awesome views. Definitely worth all 5stars and some. I really like how I received a confirmation call in reference to my dinner party and the options offered to makesure we arrived to sit with one another to enjoy the dining experience.
