I give out stars based on how impressive and accomplished a restaurant is within its class. A dive barbecue joint and a fancy... pants French restaurant could both get the same rating based on how well they achieve their goals and how enjoyable I find thedining experience. I'm giving Italian Villa five stars for offering a relaxed and unpretentious meal with helpful friendlyservice (thank you, Kylee) and surprisingly good food. My husband and I decided to split the Chicken Maximo which came withbread, butter, and salad. The salad was pretty basic but fine, much what I was expecting. The rolls were flavorful. Kudos forbringing butter at room temperature for spreading. Our pasta dish was filled with tender chicken, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes,and mushrooms. The only thing I would have changed would be able to have the option of ordering a cold beer or glass of wine.Our server informed me that customers can bring alcohol with them to have with the meal. If my travels bring me back to AnnaI'll definitely come back to Italian Villa. Oh---and it's really well-priced as well. Read more
Always seems like they forget or mess up something. This time they didn't give us one of our dishes to go and called us after we... had left letting us know to come back. The food is very tasty but the service and organization needs a lot of help. Read more
