First time trying and probably won?t go back . Chicken was very dry and fried rice had zero flavor, and very bland. There are... so many delicious Asian based food places in Ankeny that I would easily go to first . I Would have give them 1 star but thecustomer service was really good . We tossed this place around with a couple others but after reading the reviews here and seeing pics of the food it was the best... option. Unfortunately this is not somewhere I would return to. It started with the service and the extremely poor attitudewhen we were greeted at the register. According to the receipt this individual was named Sai and boy was he not welcoming atall for a first time customer. He gave me a hard time with my order and seemed annoyed that I wasn?t sure how to ordereverything that I wanted. Once we got through that and received our food I was not pleased at all with the quality of theChicken Teriyaki which seemed like it might have been precooked and then heated on the flattop. I went back to ask for moreTeriyaki and it was like we were trying to meet with Congress to even get a small cup of sauce. It was also annoying that hejust slouched in the chair at the front and played on his phone. I wished it would have been awesome but it was quitedisappointing. The BEST Japanese food I?ve EVER had. The cheesecake tempura literally melted in my mouth. Employees are very kind and friendly.... If you?re looking for Japanese food in central Iowa, you?ve got to try Teriyaki house. Read more

Food cooked to order. I decided to try based on pretty good reviews. Ordered salmon and scallops, fried rice with ginger... dressing bowl. Scallops and salmon were surprisingly very good especially with the sauce. Read more
Unique tariyaki house, with thin sliced steak on a bed of rice (friend, or steamed) comes with salad (try yum yum sauce) and a... drink for about $10. Family friendly, great food, and something different to try in Ankeny. Try it! Read more
Menu very limited. Pricing to high for lunch. Clean, staff very good, will try again to see if there are changes.
