Timing has gotten exceptionally better since the initial review of 2 stars. The staff are excellent people to chat with as they... work and they consistently double-check to make sure an order is correct. Which it almost always is, and understandably mistakeshappen when you?re slanging this good of pizza this fast! There are ?bad? Papa Johns and ?good? Papa Johns and this isabsolutely the best one. Downgraded from 2 stars to 1. Update: They got it right last week but today I order a N.Y. style and they gave me another hand... tossed pizza so they are now 2 for 5 and getting the order correct. Unfortunately this time then girl that I spoke withinsisted that she personally checked it and guarenteed the right pizza went out. She actually asked me what the difference wasbetween them; eventually she transferred me to the actual manager who I texed a picture of the pizza and he knew right away thatit was wrong ... they offered a free pizza but I'm probably not going to order from there anymore. Original post: This is abusy place but there is no excuse for having the wrong pizza in the box. Only 1 out of the last 3 times I ordered a N.Y. stylepizza did I actually receive one. 1 was the N.Y. style I ordered, 1 was an original crust, and one was a thin crust pizza. Read more
Waited an hour, longer than the time they told us, then told we would need to wait 30 minutes more. The app only spun and did... not update. 2 other people in the store were in the same situation. There were at least 6 people working, so it was not likelydue to a worker shortage. In short, we had to cancel our order as did the person in front and behind us. Read more

We generally rotate between Little Cesar?s, Domino?s, Papa Murphy, etc. But when we came back to PJ?s after a few... years hiatus, we were like ?Yup, this is where we?re eating from here on out.? I placed my order for carry out at 5 p.m. on Friday 2/25 and the email said to pick up in 25 minutes. At 5:30 p.m. the employee... didn?t apologize and said it would be another 20 minutes before it was ready. When I finally got my pizza, it was after 6 p.m.and no apology was given nor any discount or free item was offered either. Very sad, since they have a really good menu and goodquality ingredients. This Papa John's in Ankeny Iowa runs a tight constructive business. Good management = happy employees ? If they are not able to... get your food delivered in a timely manner?
