Great pizza. Love their crust. Taco is one of my favorites. Their bread bites are a wonderful appetizers. They are always... busy, so don't be in a hurry. They do as many or more carry outs, as dine ins. Read more

Got the pickle roll up pizza and was excited. The corned beef, pickles and sauce were decent?.alas the crust was utterly... horrific. The most stale, boring and sad excuse for a dough I?ve ever had. I don?t understand how people rave about this pizza. Read more

A mini chicken-bacon-house pizza and a draft of a seasonal beer by local Mistress Brewing was an ideal lunch. Casual dining,... friendly staff, guide food. Read more

Pizza is good, the crust is crispy. The toppings were just average. Spaghetti is terrible. Just like something from a fast food... store. Wet spaghetti covered with plenty of tomato sauce. You can get better sauce from a store bought bottled sauce. Housesalad is ok, house dressing is just mayo. Read more

Visited the Leaning Tower of Pizza located at Uptown Ankeny during a Farmer's Market being held just a few blocks away. I... mention this, because if you choose to visit this fine restaurant on a Saturday during the Spring / Summer, be prepared, as alldining establishments can be rather crowded. We were fortunate to walk in and be seated immediately. We knew what we weregoing to get, so as soon as the waitress arrived, were ordered the "Leaner" specialty pizza (medium) and half order of onionrings. I'm including a pic of the pizza, but forgot to take a pic of the rings, which were spectacular. Make no mistake, theseare genuine rings. You'll love them. As for the pizza, I always try to find something special I like about an entree that justabout any restaurant in the city can make. Over the years of visiting Leaning Tower, I've discovered it's THE BEST DAMN SAUCEAROUND. No kidding ... that's what sets it aside from other thin crust pizzas. So, give Leaning Tower at Uptown a visit, andtry the rings and pizza. Read more

Leaning Tower is an Ankeny stable. If you?re new to Ankeny or just visiting, I recommend stopping here for a pizza. I ordered... the Pickle Wrap pizza and Harrington pizza as well as a basket of fries. The fries were on the table within 10 minutes ofordering and the pizzas were out 10-15 minutes after that. If your a pickle fan, I highly encourage you to get the Pickle Wrappizza. Overall great service, fantastic food, and the waitress was very friendly. Read more

My friend & I stopped here after riding the High Trestle Trail from Woodward to Ankeny, and I'm glad we veered off to find this... place. The pizza was phenomenally good with a delicious thin crust and toppings that were PILED on top. We split a specialtypizza consisting of one size "The Works" and the other size "Chicken Bacon...". The indoor dining area was pleasant, and theservice was good. I would definitely stop here again. Also, there is a bike rack for locking up your bike in the back of therestaurant. Read more
