We dined at The Refinery last night and we will not be back. My mother-in-law owns her own restaurant and my husband is the... executive chef. She ordered the salmon and as soon as it was placed on the table it smelled overly fishy (which salmon shouldnot). She ended up taking a few bites and noticed immediately that something was wrong with the salmon. My husband alsoconfirmed that it seemed spoiled and told her not to eat it. We informed the server and explained that we are in the restaurantbusiness and wanted them to know so that people don?t get sick. She came back a little bit later and said thank you for tellingus ?the executive chef, kitchen manager, and the owners agreed and said that the salmon has spoiled?. She told us she would takeit off the bill. Being in the business we normally do not complain but we were turned off that the manager or owner didn?t comeout and apologize after knowingly serving my mother-in-law spoiled fish that could have made her very sick had she not beenfamiliar with salmon. On top of that we were still charged the $30 for the plate and when I confronted the server about it shesaid ?oh the manager took off $10 to cover the salmon because you ate the vegetables?. First of all the vegetables were notfresh and prepared poorly and I?m sorry but $20 for vegetables. We all know that the salmon costs more than the small serving ofvegetables that we received. Her meal should have been comped completely as they served her spoiled fish. On top of everythingthe server was not attentive. It was just unfortunately a very unpleasant experience and we will not be back. Be sure to doublecheck your meat when eating there. If they are serving spoiled fish, what else are they not attentive to in the kitchen when itcomes to food safety. Read more

We were a large group on a Friday night and our server, Tess, handled it like a pro! I enjoyed a brisket plate and my wife had a... mac and cheese with pulled pork. I sampled her pork and I can say that both were very good. Being local, we'll be doing thisagain. They have a good beer selection with big brand names and a few local selections. Read more

Our Daughter and her boyfriend brought us here because it's one of their favorite places to eat near their home. We were not... disappointed! We had fried cheese curds, hot brisket sandwich and combo plates. Best BBQ we've had in a long time, verydelicious! Read more

My first visit here so I chose the smoked meat combination platter which included: pulled pork, sliced brisket, pulled chicken &... ribs. The meat literally fell off the ribs and was delicious. The pulled pork was heaven. The brisket had an intense smokeflavor & deep line of smoke, it melted in my mouth. The chicken was on the dryer side so I added more sauce. The sauce isperfect IMO... not too sweet & not hot. There are ways to spice it up here but I prefer to taste the meat and not the heat withbarbecue. We had the nicest server, I wish I wrote her name down. She was attentive, accurate, patient & seemed genuinely happyto make our meal an enjoyable one. And it was! Can't wait to come back and try some of what I missed!! ???? Thank you all Read more

First time at the refinery, and let?s just say I wish I had been sooner! Great atmosphere with friendly staff and awesome food.... Chairs were very comfortable as well. The owner was one of the best surprises of this place, he came out and talked to us rightwhen we got there to greet us and see if we had any questions... Something you don?t see a lot of these days! It made you feelvery welcome. He came back a couple of times to check up on how we liked the food and you could tell he appreciated ourbusiness. We ended up getting the family platter because we wanted to try a little bit of everything and have leftovers.Everything was absolutely delicious and we barely made a dent in the platter? The baked beans, ribs, and brisket were definitelythe top favorites for us, but everything else was great too. They made it very easy for us to be able to take home the leftoverstoo. Our server was very friendly and attentive also. All of this making the refinery one of the best restaurants we?ve everbeen to. We?re excited to come back and try more off the menu! Read more
