I went to Boondocks Restaurant on Hwy. 81 N. Greenville St. , Anderson SC. I got shrimp ???? and grits for LUNCH! Cost $22 water... to drink. When served I took one bite and so ???? I couldn't eat. I have issues with ???? foods. I get shrimp & grits at Grits &groceries $15.95 & Bimini's in Greenville $14.95 w garlic bread and tell them leave out jalapeno peppers & they are great. Iask at Boondocks and told mild. I asked for a to go box and was charged another $2.00 because you pay extra for to go box. Themanager didn't ask to redo them less ???? or anything else to change to eat. I left paying $24.15 for LUNCH! I had errands to dobefore coming home so I stopped at Aldi's bought an insulated backpack. Went to QT's bought ice -& packed the shrimp ???? &grits for my husband's dinner. Food was delicious! The owner made an effort to personally welcome each one of us and made sure everything was A-Ok! The peach... cobbler and ice cream was out of this world! The friendly atmosphere was just the cherry on top. If you are ever in this area, Iwould highly recommend. Read more

This place was two pricey. I bought two boondock birddogs and pickle chips and didn't even get a drink. The total just for mine... came up to be $17 and some change. It blew my mind how much it was for a couple of birddogs and little order of pickle chips. Iwouldn't recommend this place Read more

So had a great experience and a great meal. With that being said want to make sure to point out one detail my burger was well... done instead of medium rare. The burger was still very good and not over done just no light pink. Black angus is an up chargebut how much? My receipt was not itemized just base and a tip recommendation. Two burgers with a side was just under $20 beforetax had 4 drinks if you count tea refills as separate drinks estimate another $13 before tax yet the base was $40.93 Uncle Sammust rolling in dough. Notice the picture of the bill with the very detailed section of what the customer signing means yet theycan?t be bothered with what products or services were performed. I write quotes in my day job so I feel the bill was off and Ican?t verify the numbers. If you go here expect a larger bill with your great food. I paid steak prices for a decent burger.Attached is a picture of the very unhelpful receipt. Just thought of two other things to mention. The menu was dingy and someitems could not be read easily. There was a gentleman in glasses that I feel worked there that stood at the bar looking intentlyat me. It was a tad creepy. The server was a very nice girl she seemed timid but took good care of us and I left her a cash tip.Wow I had to add more about the menu it actually says choice of meat and nothing about an up charge so the lawyer that wrote thedisclaimer about raw or improperly cooked food above that didn?t catch the up charge for 100% angus beef which is displayed nowhere. It was verbally introduced. Read a few more reviews about chairs and I saw chairs that had been modified after arms brokeoff.
