Words cannot describe how awesome the staff is at Charlew's. I'm missing home, I am missing my own kitchen and I felt like... family from the moment I walked in the door. The person who brought me my drink order offered to take my food request, theperson who brought my food asked in earnest if I wanted or needed anything in addition. When I was asked about dessert Irequested more time to make that decision and when it was clear I could eat no more of awesome goodness in front of me, myrequest was honored and I was offered dessert again. The have fancy technology that you can pay at the table which I denied, I'mold school and that was honored, I was able to do the math at my leisure and sign a paper copy. When I requested to see amanager, I was not at all surprised to recognize that the management had also played a role in the amazing service that Ireceived. Been here about three times now. Before going 2-star?I had to be sure the service was consistently bad. I?m not sure if it?s a... staffing issue or if they just don?t like me. Even for being empty (when I was there) the wait time is really bad. The food isnot consistent either. I?m not a big fan of the drink cards for the beer either. Every single time you take a pull?it?s justfoam that comes out. So a beer which may cost seven-dollars?easily turns into 10 considering they charge by the ounce. Itseems the only thing consistent here is the expensive cost and poor service. If there is a fourth time for me?maybe that willbe the charm. Read more
My fiance and I waited 16minutes to be asked if we were ready to order. When ordered food came out quicker than expected, reason... for that is the dough was not cooked thoroughly. After eating some dough we tore apart peices of it and left it there paid billby taking picture of receipt. The business there before this one had the same cooks and same issues. We had to wait 45 minutes for our pizza because they didn't put our first one in the oven correctly. Then when we finally got... our pizza it was burnt and incredibly greasy. Most of the staff were very nice, one of our waitresses gave us a card for $5 offdue to a pizza mix up. The staff were good but the food wasn't. Won't be eating here again. Read more
