I googled places to eat around Andalusia while traveling home from the beach. I wanted something other than fast food. I?m so... glad we stopped at David?s Catfish House. I had trouble choosing what I wanted to eat, but I settled on lemon pepper broiledcatfish with a sweet potato, turnip greens and hushpuppies. It was delicious and the service was superb. Drove through the area on our way to Florida and saw a sign on the side of the highway for this place. Looked it up here and saw... really good reviews. So glad we decided to stop by. Staff was really friendly and food was delicious!! Coleslaw, green beans,fries were all so good and the fish had such a great taste! Even the sauces were some of the best I?ve had! I was raised on fishing family. I have caught, cleaned, cooked and ate a truck load of fish. Stopped at David's while going... through Andalusia. Their fish was great. About as good as I've ever had. Same for the fried green tomatoes and Cole slaw.Portions were adequate. Prices were good. Waitresses were attentive, unobtrusive, friendly and pretty. My husband and I tried this place while traveling through the area and just loved it! We had Jacob as a server and he was... amazing! He was so funny, very helpful and he was really on top of it! We never wanted for anything and he checked on us often.We got the fried green tomatoes and they were really good and then we both got the catfish and it was the best!
