Found this wonderful restaurant in the middle of Anchorage! It was amazing! I wanted to taste the halibut fish and chips, I am... in Alaska after all. The best halibut and chips I have ever tasted! Batter was thin and crispy, they don't skimp on the halibuteither! On a bed of seasoned fries and tater tots. On the side was a scrumptious tartar sauce with a good amount of dill. Fishwas crunchy! Pretty good food and service. Loved the house made sauce on the reindeer scramble. Menu looked pretty straightforward overall. A... couple of minor missteps on service but bar service (which is where I was) isn?t always the same as table service. I appreciatedthat the bartender indulged me in an off-menu cocktail when I noticed that they had the ingredients available. Overall solidand would not be opposed to returning. Read more
There was no wait to get a table. Staff is friendly and tends to the kids well. Pizza was good. All around everything was... good. Parking is a little tricky as there is an exit sign on one side, but the other is for handicap so caused a littleconfusion. You can actually enter on either side. Read more
Pricey for casual dining but food was delicious. We got seated right away and service was fast and friendly. Food came out... quick. Cob salad with blue cheese dressing (amazing) good portion, had leftovers. My son had the Salmon and asked for itblackened; he said it was the best he'd ever had. Halibut and chips good. Overall after you get over the plate prices (that areWAY higher than most states) realize you are eating super fresh food in a beautiful part of the country. This restaurant came highly recommended so we gave it a try on our last night in Anchorage. Their oven was unfortunately broken... but we commend the chef for making the menu work and being inventive along the way. The service was friendly and the food waspretty good just not amazing. Calamari was over breaded and salmon a bit overdone. Brussels were great!! Plus a great local beerlist. Read more
The Mrs. and I hit the three sister stores this past week (South, Snow City Cafe, and Spenard Roadhouse)? South was our favorite... for dinner, but Spenard Roadhouse is still delicious. Fun and delicious place! We loved it and went two nights in a row. Cocktail list is very fun and they were delicious! We read... reviews and got the calamari, salmon and bacon jam burger...ALL delicious! That dirty rice was amazing and the Brussels sproutswere the best I've had! They ran out of their special the peach cooler the first night...so we went back and got it the second.SO good. I highly reccomend a stop here. Read more
We love this place, the wife and I. The blackened brussel sprouts are a must. No, really. Try em and see if you don't agree.... Solid fried chicken sandwich. My wife really enjoyed the Korean rice bowl. Drinks and fun abound at the bar. Read more
