I often read other reviews and sometimes, quite frankly, it has discouraged me to patronize a place. Since we were staying at... the Coast Hotel at Lake Hood, and since Pipers is the restaurant there, we (three adults) gave it a try in spite of somenegative reviews. To that point, I am a bit baffled by a couple of reviews I read. To be sure, everyone has likely had a badexperience at a good restaurant, and with the COVID experience, some places may be short of staff and thus slow of service, butI also think that some people forget that a restaurant called a "sports lounge" is not going to be a fancy, linen table-clothrestaurant and they should adjust their reviews accordingly. Anyway, we ate there three times--twice in back-to-bake eveningsand once for breakfast. In each case, the servers were great and attentive despite the place being busy, and the food was quitegood. The drinks were also really good and well-prepared. The breakfast was also very good and generous. So I gave it fivestars for being good at what it is. Read more

I stayed at the hotel and the hotel was great. On my way to the airport I wanted to grab lunch so I ordered some food and you... can see by the picture, DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK BITES! You will waste your money. For $17, you would think you would get morethan 8 steak bites. They should serve them on a bed of rice maybe or add more. They need to make them look more appealing. We just got to Alaska from Nashville. Long flight and since Pipers is in the building with our hotel, we tried for a quick bite.... Split the Chicken Nachos with my wife. They were fresh and tasty. The view from the patio is awesome!! Very good experience. Read more

I stay at the coast International due to work over the last 7 years And I always get take out from here. no complaint on the... food quality or taste, But the portion size for the takeout meals has drastically decreased recently... The salad for exampleused to come in the standard square white Styrofoam container, now it's in a little brown box......for 19 dollars them saladseems kinda small ... As advertised... Sports bar. Lots of tv screens. The food is good and the service is good. We had a party of seven, each a first... time patron and each had a different entre. Each person agreed that their meal was good. Quality and flavor are good across thewhole menu. Read more
