We've been to Mo Bettahs several times and my husband loves it. It's a bit more hit and miss for me but I love their katsu &... terriyaki chicken usually. The mini plate comes with macaroni salad, cabbage, rice, and meats. I love their Teri sauce! Read more
Mo?Bettahs is one of the best Hawaiian restaurants I?ve eaten at. I have been to many Hawaiian restaurants in Hawaii and... Mo?Bettahs is just as good if not better. I always like getting the regular or Da Big Boy (Ekolu) plate. I almost always get theKalua pork and the Teriyaki chicken. The Kalua pork has amazing smoky flavor and is very tasty. The Teriyaki chicken is alwayscooked just right. I also always get the traditional cabbage bed, white rice, and Mac salad. Mo?Bettahs Mac salad is hands downthe best Mac salad I?ve had at any Hawaiian restaurant. It is peppery and has a great creamy texture. Lastly, I get extrateriyaki ?Teri? sauce. I end up drizzling this sauce on everything, the rice, the Mac salad, and the meats. I have also triedtheir other meats and they are good, especially the teriyaki steak, but I prefer the teriyaki chicken and Kalua pork. I alsorecommend mixing parts of the meal together to get a wonderful combination of flavors. Try to get bits of Mac salad, rice, and achunk of meat cheese with teriyaki sauce on all of it. WOW ... the food is amazing. The portions are large so I get 2 meals out of one. Today we went in and had the teriyaki chicken... (which is my favorite). The macaroni salad is addicting. I can eat it all alone as a meal. They have a great rewards program andwe really love that they provide a discount for military. Thank you for that! Of course, I brought home leftovers. Read more
Ate this for the first time in Utah, so glad they have it here in IF/Ammon!! Teriyaki chicken is awesome, I LOVE IT! Sufficient... flavors, good char on the meat. Sauce is also really good that adds to the overall flavor! Katsu chicken was good too, crispycoat! It?d be better if the meat itself is more flavorful! Read more
Great menu. Spotty execution. I love a good plate lunch. These guys make it easy, and after I took these photos the place really... filled up (seemed to peak about 12:30 on a Monday). So clearly they're doing something right. We tried a bunch of items andsampled each other's food. What was odd is that some of each item was excellent. But some of each item was dry and nasty. I getthat chicken breasts, for example, vary in quality. But one of my hulihuli chicken breasts was incredible, while the other wasso dry and overcooked that the plastic knife wouldn't cut through it. Some of the teri beef was tender and moist, while otherpieces were dry and chewy. I wonder if, by eating at 12:00 noon, we got some fresh-cooked stuff and some leftover from the nightbefore? Anyway, it's easy to order and service is fast, so it's great for a workday lunch. If you get 100% well-cooked food,it's a win! So go check it out. I'm glad they're busy and hope they stay that way. My husband and I really liked this restaurant! We've never been in a Mo' Bettahs before since we just moved here from South... Carolina. Seriously, some of the best chicken we've had in a long time! I'm not from the area but had a Doctors appointment and was so happy to learn of this Restaurant, we go to Hawaii every year... except the last couple because of covid. I've been missing my plate lunches and this filled the void till I get back to Hawaiiin February 2023. The difference is the Styrofoam container you should stop using them just my opinion. Food is great and theservice was great. Read more
