I'm not from Amite, but my son has PSR here for the next couple of weeks; so I found myself needing to pass some time instead of... driving home. I stopped here to get a jalapeno and cheddar kolachie (DELICIOUS BTW!) - and hopefully be able to read. The ladiesbehind the counter were so sweet! My order was quickly filled and I was assured I could sit and read in the dining area. As Isat there reading, many customers came in and were quickly served. I also got to listen (and sing along with) K-Love - the musicstation they have playing in the building. That choice was very much appreciated! I win in 5:30 this morning to buy four glazed donuts and two chocolate donuts.the Owner and all of the employees told me good... morning when I walked through the door. She ask me for my order and I told her what I wanted. She brought me back my donuts allof them hot very fresh and delicious may I add. The store is excellently kept clean it spotless the food is excellent All of theemployees really struck a five-star rating with me. There are on highway 16 in Amite across from waffle House. There's a littleTaco Bell in the same new place that they're store is. You can find their store you'll see Mary Lee donuts on the front of it Irecommend highly of purchasing your donuts there. I find there less expensive and better then Krispy Kreme if you were donutfreak like I am you won't go to any other donut store in the neighborhood or in Hammond they have excellent donuts and excellentstore and they are all very very polite and cordial. Try them it's going to be an excellent experience and you would have reallyliked the donuts I'm not going to quote the price that I paid for the six donuts that I got but it was very much cheaper thanwhat Krispy Kreme charges for their donuts Plus their local their fresh and again I highly recommend their store go by there andtry them out you won't be satisfied trust me I tell the truth on different places and they're excellent. We are from Illinois. we wanted a king cake. but we would have had to order it.but we was heading back home so instead we got... donuts. and they are amazing we love them! and she gave us a few extra.also very nice great service we will be back when we passback again thank you so much. Read more
Fresh donuts and staff is super friendly. Highly reccomend! Drove from Hammond to try them. They are not affiliated with the one... in Baton Rouge. So glad I stopped then herd the music playing and it lifted my day. Read more
While I did not eat any donuts myself, I'm a diabetic, had gotten a total of 7 boxes, for huge crowd. Every one loved them,... none were left. Along with how good everyone said they were, the service we received at Mary Lee Donuts was equally fantastic. They went above and beyond, and did so with a smile! Great donuts my boys loved them and so did I! Fresh and delicious and especially the filled ones are awesome being that they are... filled on the spot! I honestly was a little skeptical at first being that I'm a local and grew up on a certain well knownfavorite but I'm so happy to find that these are just as great and closer to home and open more often. Yall got my business. Notto mention my 3 year old loved that fruity pebble covered one. Read more
