Cool new BBQ place! First of it\'s kind in the area, taking the place of the old Tomorrow River Inn that I frequented very often... as a child and teen. Everythung was great so far except the fish fry. I\'d recommend they drop it or change it cause just 1/2mile down the road has phenomenal fish fry varieties. For now, stick with the BBQ and you won\'t be disappointed! Read more

The partnership between The Local Goat and Bearded Brothers BBq in Amherst is outstanding! The Local Goats homemade root beer... and the apple cider mule were both so flavorful and delicious! The brisket was moist and tender, the pulled pork nachos were todie for, and the blueberry cheesecake....just go try it out! I will be back soon, for sure! Thank you for a wonderful dinnerexperience! I couldn\'t find anywhere online how The Local Goat and Beard Brothers BBQ are related. Now that I\'ve been there, I can share... with you. Beard Brother\'s BBQ is in the same building but has different hours than The Local Goat. You have to look at theevents calendar on the The Local Goat website to know when BBBBQ is serving food. I suggest that both businesses make thisinformation more readily available for those who are making a special trip from out of town.\nTLG has the best beer selectionI\'ve seen in the area. The BBQ is fantastic. My husband and I both agree that the ribs were the best we\'ve had and we\'veeaten at some nationally acclaimed BBQ joints. The ribs are very meaty with little fat and no sauce. Honestly, I didn\'t evenuse the sauce that comes on the side because it masked the amazing flavor of the ribs. Beans were great, baked potato wasovercooked to being hard on one end.\nThe service from both entities was great.\nI knocked off a star because they are stillusing polystyrene to-go containers(!!!!) and the atmosphere could be improved. It felt more like a family restaurant than awine bar or BBQ joint.\nWe will definitely go again. Read more

Very nice place to get a drink and some great BBQ, if it\'s after 4pm. Supporting a lot of local to WI breweries. Music on... Sundays by the river. Read more
