I had the Pho with thin beef and the Vietnamese style meatballs. Overall it was average. The distinctive Pho flavoring tasted... just a little watered down. Still good. Still obviously Pho, but not what I expected. The meatballs were thinly sliced which Ididn?t expect. As I said before - still good. One thing that surprised me was the spring rolls. What they call a spring roll isan egg roll. If you want a Vietnamese spring roll - you will need to order a summer roll. Anyhow, their ?egg rolls? were good. Just order spring rolls to get them. The server guy was outstanding. He was answering the phone, handling takeout and waitingtables. He did everything with patience and professionalism. Read more
The restaurant was clean and nice looking once you walk in. We didn't have to wait and we got to pick our seat. We were the only... ones in the restaurant. They really didn't have people coming to dine in but they had a lot of people coming in to pick uporders. The waitress brought us one glass each of water when we sat down. After that they didn't ask if we wanted other drinksand they never once came around for refills. We ordered yellow curry, sizzling duck, two different types of fried rice, and thefried banana for dessert. My daughter ordered the yellow curry spicy and it wasn't spicy at all. Next time she'll have to askfor Asian spicy to see if that makes a difference (that's what they title the hottest heat level for their food). We alsoordered the dessert to come at the same time as the dinner and they forgot. We had to go to the counter after fifteen minutes ofthem serving the good to ask if it was coming. If you plan to eat here make sure you have extra time as it takes a while for thefood to come out. They also didn't check in on us once to see if we needed anything, to see if we were happy with the food, etc.Lastly, we ordered the fried banana. We never said we wanted it with coconut and it came covered in it. If you don't likecoconut.... Which my daughter didn't....you'll understand why it was super disappointing to get this and she couldn't finish it. Read more
I'll start with the good--the food was great! But that's only one part of many that go into a dining experience. We got there... close to 1pm and there was only a couple other diners there. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 pho. The appetizers were wrong--weordered chicken summer rolls but we got shrimp. We ate them anyways. Several minutes later our pho came out--and it was wrongtoo! We ordered chicken and got beef. That tripe floating in there was not appetizing. We called the waiter back and he statedit was for "a different table" and took them away. We had to wait much longer for our chicken pho to come out and by then wewere pressed for time and had to take it with us. He did take a few dollars off for the inconveniences, thus the 3 stars.Disappointing experience. Read more
We ordered food for a large group. We all got a variety of items. EVERYONE LOVED IT! This is our new favorite Sunday lunch spot!... Great job Pho 54! I had the green curry, my wife got the Thai fried rice, and Thai rolls. It all looks and tastes so fresh! I amso glad we stumbled on this place :) maybe they?ll be able to deliver to my house for the bills games in the future! Read more
Delicious authentic Vietnamese and Thai food! Stopped in for a quick lunch today and was excited to find a plethora of gluten... free options. I had the Bun Xao with chicken (a vermicelli bowl with veggies and chicken). The bowl was balanced perfectly withfresh veggies, well cooked chicken, and a light sauce to bring it all together. Healthy and delicious! I appreciate all of thegluten free options, and the service was great as well. A bit on the pricier side for Thai/Vietnamese around here but it?s wellworth it for the taste. A few small changes I?d make: keep the doors closed so flies don?t come in (though I get keeping themopen to get fresh air in during COVID) and print out new menu feature cards on the tables (as the current ones have pricescrossed out on them and look a bit tacky). There are definitely better Pho placed in town. Service was below average as well. In my opinion they?re lucky to have great... location close to UB North campus, otherwise I don?t see them attracting constant customers. Wishing them to improve the qualityand service. Read more
