A solid 4.5+, the tenderloin sandwich was as good as any I had at the Suburban in over 30 years of eating there. It's nice to... have a great fried pork tenderloin available again. I'll have to try a burrito next time. Read more

A friend and I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich because we'd heard it was excellent. I have to say it was the most tasteless... sandwich I've ever eaten. Both of us agreed that it was completely bland and neither of us ate more than half. There was just notaste to it, and the meal cost 17 bucks, which is honestly a rip-off for a fast food meal. I have to think they just forgot toseason the meat or something? I dunno, probably won't go back. Read more

Staff was friendly. The rolled ice cream is fun to watch being made. Clean restaurant.

Pretty disappointed in our dinner order as this was our first time there. Their version of "potato oles" that come with the... combo were rock hard and bland, also don't come with any salsa or dip besides ketchup packets. The chips and queso comes with amountain of chips and one small cup of cheese. The bean burrito is small with nothing inside but sauce and beans so eating it isso messy. It dripped everywhere....it needs some rice, lettuce, tomato, ANYTHING to break up all the liquid. The quesadillaseemed like a small serving, too. For $20 we could get a better variety at any sit down restaurant and everything tasted like Icould make it at home. :( Can't comment on the ice cream as we've never had it! Read more

We had heard they had Tenderloins. They are not on menu but they made them anyway. They have potential. Ours were overdone.... Lettuce was crisp. Potatoes are good. Read more

Big fan of this place. The crunch rolls remind me so much of the crisp meat burritos from taco time. The "fire" sauce is not too... spicy and really good addition to the crunch roll. Tots are great too and my kids loved the rolled ice cream. Great service andfriendly staff. Read more

While Taco Time is gone, this new place at the mall improves on much of that Tex-Mex goodness ????. Today I bought a crispy... beef burrito (Beef Crunch Roll) and it is legit (just a slightly different shape, and fresher tasting than that other place).Sweet Crunch Strips (sugar crustos?) are good too. Recommended! (Oh, and the Roll is for rolled ice cream with your favoritefixings, which is the only way to ice cream). BTW, isn?t the term ?Crunch Roll? used by sushi shops? ????. Don?t let thatconfuse you. This place is Texan-ized Mexican food (Tex-Mex). I?m glad to know it?s there for Ames comfort food...when I?m back?home?. Read more

Great place, staff was super friendly! I tried the crispy beef burrito and it was great! Reminded me a bit of the Taco Time... burritos that used to be in town before the shop closed. If there was a choice of dipping sauce for it, like a spicy ranch thatwould be amazing. Will definitely come back. Read more
