No dine in. Owner/chef appeared to be a Chinese behind mask. Terrible food. Ate meat and trashed the rest. What a waste of $20!
The food is excellent but I am very sad that I can not seem to catch them open as I am in Boone and not Ames. I wish they were... open earlier in the evening or for lunch on the weekends. They have a great fish curry and the garlic Naan is the best! Read more

Great customer service but the food is really subpar for the price you pay. I ordered lamb curry earlier today and it looked... like it came out of canned food container. Perharps I'll order a different menu item next time and give them another try. Read more
I've been here twice and both times the service was excellent as was the curry. I'm particularly fond of the rice they serve.... It's a thin long grain rice, cooked perfectly of course. As of now this is some of the best Indian food of had in Ames. Read more
I decided to revisit India Palace tonight, it has been many moons since I last was here, and Iam left wondering why I waited so... long... Everthing was excellent, from the service to the food. I ordered Chicken Nuggets for appetizer, it took about 10 minsafter that to get them. They were real chicken too! They came with chili sauce, mint chutney, and tamarind sauce, also theybrought me soy sauce on the side like I asked for. I had Chili Chicken with delicious rice for entree, very tasty and well done,about 25 mins give or take after I order, so all went well. Many refills on water and Coke, also had the bread (like Pita), Icant recall what its called, also very good. I left stuffed, not sure others complaining about portion sizes? Will return!
