I am a fan of restaurants that are very customer oriented. This is one of those restaurants. You know you're in for some good... eats when you get there 5 minutes after opening and get one of the last tables. The salad bar was fresh and the free appetizerribs were a great preview of what was to come. I had to take some food home! And I'm no little dude! Or server was killing it asfar as getting drinks filled. I never had to ask. I would recommend the drive. It is worth it! Pro tip. Mind your speed on theway down. Read more

What a hidden little gem! Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly for my taste (medium rare). You get smoked ribs as an... appetizer, salad bar (which had fried okra, ranch style beans, and fresh veggies), baked potato, sour cream and butter as a side(or french fries), and Texas toast. No dessert offered. For the price you cannot go wrong and I will say this will rival most ofthe streak houses in the city. Be sure to go early or later and be prepared to wait up to an hour. Ask for a table in the back, where it's air conditioned. This place is only open Thursday-Saturday. Read more

Perfect all around meal!!! The ribs were the best I've had. The steak was tender and tasty. The salad bar vegetables were so... fresh I had to ask if they were "homegrown"? Our waitress informed us they purchase all their vegetables from the Farmer'smarket in OKC, not store bought/cold storage and you could taste the difference!! Excellent service also!! It isn't easy tolocate but definitely is worth the trip!!!! Read more

I really wanted to give this place a five star review, but I can't, in good conscience. This place is historic, and we've been... wanting to come here for quite some time. First, the good: The salad bar was top-notch. There was a block of cheese to cut,the best fried okra I've ever eaten, and beans, in addition to a complete salad bar with fresh, fresh ingredients. I almost gotthe blue cheese dressing because the labels on the spoons are so faded, and a lady insisted it was the ranch, but the chunks ofblue cheese gave it away. Also, everybody at the table gets a complimentary rib. The ribs are good. They needed maybe an hourmore of cooking to pull off the bone perfectly, but they had a good, strong, mesquite flavor. But we didn't drive nearly anhour one-way to get a salad. We came for the steak. There are only two types: sirloin, and prime-rib. My wife got the sirloin, and it was a passable sirloin. I got the prime-rib. It was a smoked prime rib, which in itself isn't bad, but this one was notgreat. This one was so heavily smoked that it lost all of its meat flavor. All I could taste was mesquite, which is a very heavysmoke flavor. It completely over-powered it. I'm a fat man and can easily eat a 22 ounce ribeye, but I could only manage about athird of this before I was done. It was a bit gristly, but the outside crust was good, if a bit heavily salted. It was a nicedrive through the countryside to get here, but we probably won't be back. Read more
