The manager goes out of the way saying ?hi? to tables with their selective bias towards certain customers. Definitely needs... Re-training. If you like overly salty, burned, dry, rubbery tasting food, I guess come here. Nothing Cajun about this placeother than trying too hard. Ordered the frog legs and tender tips. Pictures attached. We ate Lazy Gator's in Amarillo for the first time! I have to admit I was a bit nervous but the gator appetizer is amazing!! I n... ever thought I would try it but let me tell you, if you haven't it is he must try!! I love catfish so I sorta played it safehere, lol. It was perfectly fried, the house sauce pairs perfectly!If you like sweet potatoes, the sweet potato fries are verynice, drizzled with a bit of honey, I paired it with a sweet hurricane drink! The owner was a hell of a nice guy taking his time to speak with us and let is try some stuff that was a staple of his... resturaunt. We had a variety of diffrent items across the table while I ordered the alligator steaks on rice which was amazing.Save your Appetite for desert because the unlawful waffle was by FAR one of the best deserts I've ever had. I tried alligator for the first time!- Blackened alligator tacos with cajun fries. I loved it! Our waitress was the sweetest... person. The atmosphere was fun but a little too loud for my liking which was the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Would definitelyeat again if I ever make it back. Read more

Wait staff friendly and courteous, super ambience for family eat outs, rich meal menu and to top it off, Micky... the owner personally checks on customers to make sure they?re having a great meal, a rare feat. Lazy Gator is located at Bell and Hillside and currently offers dining in or curbside pickup. They have a bar inside, clean... restrooms and a menu that offers a variety of cajun inspired food. Having moved to Amarillo from Florida, I really miss goodseafood. When I go to Lazy Gators, I always get the shrimp and scallops and they never disappoint. The food here is reasonableand really tastes great. They're never busy when we go in so service is good and fast. I would highly recommend Lazy Gator'sif you're looking for a nice variety at a good price. Oh, and don't forget to try one of their cocktails, they've created somevery interesting combinations. While it may be called Lazy Gator, the service was anything but lazy! We came in, got seated immediately, and withing 5 minutes... the sweetest waitress got our drink order. We ordered the alligator bites for an appetizer and weren't disappoint at all. Theywere perfectly fried and served with crispy fries. Then came the Gator pasta.
