A really great spot for fresh seafood/steak that’s not too unique/trendy. I had the fried shrimp, and my husband had the steak... and said it was delicious. He especially loved the chef’s steak sauce! Portions were great, and prices were reasonable for anice dinner! Only leaving 4 stars because our waiter wasn’t the kindest. We really enjoyed George’s for dinner. We came early on a quiet night so there was no wait and it wasn’t crowded. Service... was quick and efficient! My husband and I got the two vegan options on the menu which were both delicious. The tofu stir fry hada great sauce so the flavor was wonderful. The cauliflower Alfredo was OK but nothing super special. Maybe needed a little moreflavor or something else added to it. We also got a side of the sweet potatoes with hot honey which were amazing - definitelyrecommend trying those out!! Read more

Wife and I went here for a somewhat casual anniversary dinner. The margarita was actually pretty solid, and we ordered calamari... for an appetizer which was also pretty good. I had been wanting steak all week, and saw their steak on the menu when Iresearched the area. I was disappointed when my waiter just put a steak on a potential dirty table without a plate or anything,she just placed it there. However my hopes were then uplifted when she said they handcuffed the steaks. Those hopes were thenshattered when I got the steak. I know I’m at a seaside restaurant ordering beef, but if you advertise a 45$ ribeye thenlet’s make it decent. If had better steaks and chain restaurants. The potatoes were barely seasoned, the only thing decent wasthe green beans. My wife however loved her fried shrimp, and the key lime pie was delicious. Long story short, don’t do what Idid, and just get the seafood. Read more
Another frequent stop although typically lunch, we tried George’s for dinner this time around. The proclaimed hour wait was... actually closer to 30 minutes which we spent getting a drink next door. Our waiter highly recommended the calamari fries, andalthough a bit wary we were absolutely delighted. The remoulade needed a touch of salt but the calamari was fantastic. My sonhad the lamb shank, which he said was “meh”, but my spicy salt and pepper shrimp were fantastic. My wife was very happy withher grouper. In all honesty I believe George’s is a far better lunch destination strictly from a value standpoint. If you arerolling in cash, obviously this wouldn’t be a consideration. Enjoy either way! Great place. Our waitress Natalia was lovely. The food was great. Do not miss out on the caramel brownie goo dessert. One of... our favorite desserts in 30A. The calamari was probably the best I’ve ever had and our kids eat a lot of calamari. The fishtacos with mahi were delicious. I would recommend sitting outdoors. We sat inside due to the weather and it just felt a littlecramped- old house - low ceilings. All in all would definitely go back to George’s. Read more
Staff is very very professional! Loved the food and the ambience! Very nice for a formal dinner or or evening out. Expensive so... you don’t want to be taking little kids here :) but I would come back any date for another date night! Read more
We were thrilled to return again for an incredible dining experience with George's at Alys Beach! Our host, Zabrina was just... "Awesome!" She welcomed us back and delivered extraordinary service! We too, spoke again with David our previous host. He was sohospitable and we had a great time showing pics of our dogs.
