This is a fantastic family restaurant. They come around and refill drinks without you even having to ask. The portions are large... and for a fair price. The food was actually very well seasoned. Delicious!!!! I had the Stuffed French Toast with strawberries and cream cheese filling - it was DELISH!! Everybody had food... envy. I ordered sausage patty as a side but that was pretty basic. Someone else in my party ordered the Belgian Waffles withstrawberries (whip cream left off) and another ordered the Chicken Finger Skillet. Service was great, seated right away andprices were acceptable. I'd definitely go again....and get the stuffed french toast! Read more

I've been a regular at this establishment for several years, but today I came for the first time by myself. I was treated... exceptionally by wait staff, my food was hot and fast, and even though there was a line at the door I didn't wait more than afew minutes. Altoona Family Restaurant is a finely honed system where everybody gets delicious food and nobody has to wait forlong. 10/10 recommend! Read more
