I didn't even know this place existed until my friend started working here. It's so good! The portobello mushroom sandwich was... one of the best I've ever had and the fries were very tasty. Ginger cheesecake with peach compote was amazing for dessert. Theyalso have a full bar with craft beers on tap. The prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to come back! Read more

Nice little place to eat! We had the salmon ceasar salad, chicken wings and the basin street burger all was good. Maddie was... the best and made sure that we were okay through out our meal. The creme brulee beer was pretty tasty. A hidden gem in Alton! Read more
Took a chance on this place not knowing anything about it. Great Rivers was clean, modern and the staff was very friendly. I was... very surprised with their menu and their on tap beer selection. The food was outstanding and the beers were cold andrefreshing! I had the catfish tacos which were lightly breaded and the sour onions made it stand out. Try their loaded redpotatoes. I ordered the fish and it's all breading, wife ordered the sliders, they were over cooked and they forgot to bring the fries she... ordered. Then brought the check and I said I need a pin and she said you don't need one if paying with credit card. Lol ok, notip it is. Read more
