Visited Bubbalou's in Altamonte Springs with my daughter after a weekend-long volleyball tournament in Orlando. We were staying... a night off Altamonte Drive and were looking for a place to grab a quick meal. Bubbalou's had a good rating on Google, and thephotos looked tempting - so we gave it a shot. I am glad we did! The people were so friendly. The prices reasonable. But thefood was fantastic. She got a fried catfish sandwich (that looked like a po-boy). I had a two meat dinner with brisket (amazing)and turkey (wonderful). We got fries, beans, mac and cheese as sides - and I also ordered a side of fried okra. While the okrawas great - it was six bucks for a small "boat" of okra. Regardless - the overall experience was fantastic. I DO wish howeverthey either served Coca Cola products - OR had Diet Cheerwine (because they had regular Cheerwine). I will visit again the nexttime I find myself in the area. Read more

I ordered online but wasn't familiar with the process. You are given the option of ordering online via Uber Eats or postmates. I... chose Uber Eats and opted to pickup the order. When I arrived, I'm told they don't have online ordering. I pulled over anddouble checked because I've been charged over $60 for my order. I go back to the drive thru and I'm told that Uber orders haveto be picked up inside. Now I have to find a park, get my walker out and maneuver into the restaurant. Upon entry, there's asign directing you to the Uber section. There's a table with Uber orders and a sign instructing you to wait to be assisted. Ayoung lady greeted me and then walked away. She saw me still standing there and asked if I needed help. Finally I get myorder and can return to my vehicle. I ordered grilled chicken, collard greens, black-eyed peas, sweet potatoes, chickentenders with fries, and a cheeseburger and fries. The sweet potatoes is actually just a baked sweet potato. I was told thecheeseburger and the tenders were average. Everything else was good, fortunately because those were the reasons I ordered fromthe restaurant. Good bbq food. Nice cornbread and brisket. Chocolate cake was probably the best. They didn't have burnt ends?

Initial presentation of the restaurant was good. Wait staff was nice. Food was sub par. My collard greens were tasteless which... is probably great if you are on a low sodium diet from your cardiologist. My pulled pork sandwich was cold. The beans were good?those are hard to mess up. Alligator never came out. Kids only got one corn dog because the front forgot to ring the secondthrough. So after they brought all the food out we had to go back up to the front to stand in line to order another, then thefamily waited for the last one to come out. But here is the grand finale. The ?Turkey Dinner? they are advertising for is anabsolute BBQ shame. $15 for 5 pieces of cold deli meat. Literally- look at the picture! Money aside that is insane. Great BBQ place with a lot of charm and great food, friendly and attentive staff. We used to regularly visit the Bubbalou?s... near UCF until it closed recently. It?s good to know we can still get the same great food with a little longer drive. Thebrisket and their grilled chicken plates are my favorites. Generous portions, and great variety of entrees and sides. Lots offun items to look at in the dining area. Also a nice patio out back for the cooler months. Note that Google Maps does not seemto distinguish between drive-through and indoor dining when reporting how ?busy? it is. It showed as extremely busy on our lastvisit yet there was only one other party seated inside and service was fast ? but there was a long line for the drive-throughthat it seemed to be reflecting.
