2 cocktails. 2 apps. 2 entrees. $100 before tip. -expensive! Entrees were not good (fish fry-very greasy. Baby baby ribs -not... hot and bone was still room temp) Drinks were weak (Maple Leaf, Mango Moscow Mule) Apps were really good! (Bevarian pretzels andcalamari). Read more
The food and service has gone very downhill. Used to my one of my favorite restaurant but now it?s mediocre. The only good part... is the view of the golf coarse Read more
Don't know how the food is. I called to see if they had outdoor seating and if service dogs were allowed and wad told, "No... service dogs were allowed." Under New York law and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), people with disabilitiesmay bring their service dogs to all "public accommodations," such as restaurants, museums, hotels, and more. Loved it when Cider House served real food, regular meals. Now it feels like fancy pub food, often tasty but not so nourishing.... High end fast. Please bring back the sauerbraten or turkey leg with mashed potatoes. Some of us love a good meal. Read more
My wife & I went to Cider House for our 51st anniversary on Sunday. I ordered a clam roll and my wife ordered a vegi melt. And... we ordered wines. My wife asked if she could order a side salad in place of the french fries and I asked to order sweet potatofries in place of french fries and our waitress said there would be an up charge for the substitutions and I said OK withoutasking the price expecting a 1 or 2 dollar upcharge. When our bill came the sweet potato fries were $6.00 and the side salad was$7.00. When I got home I called Cider House because after thinking about it I thought our waitress made a mistake but was toldon the phone that substitutions were NOT allowed. Therefore I paid for 2 meals that included french fries but did not get thefries and paid full price for the sweet potato fries and the salad. If our waitress told me that I would be paying for the friesand the substitutions I would have got the fries and brought the french fries home since I paid for them. Also there is a noteon the menu saying that prices were cash only. So if I used my credit card I would have to pay an additional 3.5 percentcharge. The food was pretty good but I will not be going back any time in the near future. It is not unreasonable to expect arestaurant to substitute sweet potato fries for regular fries at a reasonable charge Steve Terplak Read more
8 of us went to eat after golf. I got a chicken sandwich with cole slaw it came with french fries. When I asked the waitress if... I could get something besides fries she said ?no?. I asked about a side salad she said yes for $8. So they gave me a side saladand did not give me fries. Then someone else at the table asked if she could have coleslaw instead of fries which they hadbecause I had it on my chicken sandwich and she said they would never do anything as big as that. I worked my share restaurantsand I?ve never seen anything so ridiculous and so cheap in my life. I have to tell you I don?t think I?d ever go there to eatagain. Read more
