Every time we go to Fox's we are happy that we went. The breakfast menu is enjoyable - from standards like pancakes to... interesting takes on avocado toast. Any time of year, sitting outside is the best! Read more

This was a pleasant little restaurant in what was a small house once upon a time. The food is similar to their sister restaurant... Cindy's. Good, reasonable, not exactly fancy, but definitely not plain. I'll be interested to try a few other things on themenu. I had a chile relleno for breakfast and it was a great take on the dish. The kids had french toast with chocolate chips, which was a sugary mess and fine by them, but probably wouldn't suit the adult palate. It definitely feels like a neighborhoodspot, and sitting by the big front windows is nice in the morning. I'll be going back to Fox's. Read more

Shoutout to the waiter who was serving all the tables, answering phones, clearing tables, everything but making the food and... kept a positive attitude the whole time. He was super attentive. Be sure to call ahead and reserve a table, it's a bit smallinside so it fills up fast. The food was awesome! It's a little bit of a wait so grab a beer or glass of wine and enjoy yourcompany. Date night was a success ???????? Read more

I went there for brunch with friends and the only thing we wanted more of was wait staff. However, we assume it's due to the... pandemic. On the bright side, the food was exquisite. My rueben sandwich and pozole were perfect. When I ordered the pozole, Iwas skeptical, but man they did it right. The dollop of sour cream was well-placed. My partner had the sweet potato and shrimphash which she found to be delicious and the shrimp was very well-cooked, given how easy it is to overcook it. The sangria wasdelicious. The fruit inside was fresh and far from soggy. The pancakes were nice and fluffy, just like the atmosphere. Mypartner and I are already talking about our subsequent return. Read more

I had to drive an hour and a few minutes west to Altadena to pick up some artwork I bought online and having never been there... before, the first thing I did was Google ?places to eat in Altadena.? I?m not big on American food, with one exception: diners.I love diners. And I LOVE fish and chips. When I saw this place I knew I had to check it out. I love Foxes too, so the signimmediately got my attention. It?s a tiny little place. I guess it?s been there forever. And it looks like it?s been thereforever. Retro furniture, the retro star wallpaper, and the red and black checkered floors were such a welcome sight to myvintage loving soul. The service was friendly. The customers were diverse. All ages, shapes, sizes and colors. All good things. They had a menu board with a variety of different pies but they were all sold out. We went at like 1pm on a Tuesday though sofor a place that closes at 2, we showed up too late I guess. And that?s not a complaint. That just tells me that they?re worthshowing up earlier for. I got the fish and chips. I get fish and chips everywhere I go that has it more or less and I don?t makethis statement lightly- this was the best I?ve ever had. The breading was crisp but soft at the same time, like a funnel caketexture almost. The fries were perfect. They tasted like the fresh cut ones I?d get at the fair every fall growing up. Thegrilled lemon was a nice touch. My husband had breakfast, French toast, eggs, bacon, and the house made sausage. He loved it.There wasn?t anything left on either of our plates. So how good is this place? Let me put it this way?it took me longer to drivehere one way than it did to get my food and eat it, and I work night shift where I usually sleep on my days off till 5-6 pm, andthis place closes at 2pm?and I fully intend to make this a regular destination. Five stars, no question! If you love diners, check it out. It wasn?t my reason for coming to Altadena today, but it will be the reason I return. We are n Read more

Its a friendly little spot on Lake Ave you find as you head North towards the hills. They have a little bit of everything. I can... say that I liked the majority of what I tasted and even that which I didn't favor was fresh and well prepared. I need to goback to try their Salted Caramel cheesecake Read more
