Social burger is the best with delicious fries! If you're driving Hwy 8 and need a stop this is the place. You don't come here... for the atmosphere but the food and cheerful waitstaff make it a great stop! Read more

The absolute worst!!! First of all we were the only ones in the restaurant. It took forever to even get a water. We ordered the... social club sandwich and chicken tenders. It took 30 minutes to get the chicken which was under cooked and had a black haircooked in the breading. We sent back the chicken we would just split the sandwich. The bread was full of blue mold!!! Absolutelynasty! Who ever made the sandwich could clearly see the mold! Nasty nasty nasty! Read more

My husband and I were on our way back from a long day's drive and hadn't had anything to eat all day. Then my husband suggested... we stop off in Alpine to get some fast food, but as we drove in we saw this strip mall and figured why not walk around. We cameacross this place - and were having second thoughts, but then decided to give it a try. OH MY GOODNESS!!! I'm so glad we did!!THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM!! The young lady who served us was one of the friendliest person's we've encountered in a really longtime!! The food was extremely satisfying and made fresh to order! My husband ordered a Chef's salad, and I the Blue Cheese wedgeand we split a hamburger.....ok I know what you're thinking.....eh, salad and a burger...no. THIS FOOD WAS MADE WITH LOVE!! Youjust don't understand the finesse of the meal itself! The chef has a fine pallet that brought a depth of flavor I had not tastedbefore!! And I've been to Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Las Vegas....so trust me when I tell you that the food here isscumpdillicious through every bite!!! If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely be stopping here. This place willbe around for a while. So I took a picture of my meal after I began to eat it because it look so savory and I couldn't wait toeat it, also we split a hamburger because we knew that we wouldn't be able to finish one each - they were so accommodating. I have to say, they are trying. Turning off the overhead florescent lights would have gone a long way toward improving the... ambiance (how about some table top cordless warm LED decoratve lamps that are bright enough to be able to see a little bitinstead.) The service was cheerful and friendly and pretty good. The meals were a bit disappointing. I had the Social Burger andthe patty was dense and did not seem to have been seasoned. The bacon was cooked well, but expected more than one strip on a$16 sandwich. The onion ring on the burger and the ones in the side order were not really acceptable. Beer battered onionrings can be very tasty. These were overcooked, a very hard crunch; not crispy, but hard. It was hard to determine that anyonion (purple) was harmed in the making of them and the batter-ing of the rings was very heavy and thick--I would neverrecommend purple onion being used for this purpose. My wife's fish and chips were okay, though it seemed to be the same heavybeer batter. Fries were cooked okay, and the apple cabbage slaw was fairly tasty. What should be a nice local place was a bitdisappointing and expensive last night. Let's keep working on it, gal's. Read more

Hostess/waitress was very upbeat, friendly and attentive. The menu has a good assortment of dishes that, as has been previously... commented, are unexpectedly higher-end and very good for a very reasonable price. The only problem with the place is that it haszero atmosphere. It looks more like a cafeteria than a place to go and socialize. I get the place is constrained by the locationand no outdoor seating, but more could be done on the inside to give it some personality. Still wondering why there's acinderblock just sitting against the wall and stop using the bench seating as storage. I really do very much want to see thebusiness succeed. Read more

The hostess was friendly and was a good sever the reason for the low rating is the chef who will not be accused of under cooking... anything. I personally have not had a grilled croissant and chard hasbrowns before. Hopefully this review will improve hiscooking skills. Read more

We randomly stopped in here for brunch because Janet's was closed up the street and we were super pleasantly surprised by the... quality of the food. The food is high-end to the point where I felt like we should have paid more than we were charged. Handsdown the best biscuits and gravy I've had anywhere ever and the shrimp and grits, though kind of a weird combo in my opinion, were also extremely good. Deffinitely would come back for the biscuits alone. Great spot! Read more
