Went here for a Christmas Dinner Party with the work group, about 20 of us. Even though there was only one waitress, I do t... remember my glass being empty. I am a meat and potato guy, but someone ordered the Sprouts, which had a honey chipotle sauce ona bed of ranch. Certainly a tasty way to get your greens. Higher price, but the portion sizes made up for it. Read more

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a couple years and they have always had the best food in the city. We were pretty... disappointed with the new menu. The prior one was very vegan friendly and the best items have been removed, specifically thepotatoes. They were replaced with some chips that were ok. There was just way too much honey on them. Half the bowl was filledwith honey and they were soggy. The drinks are always good though. Read more

Made a reservation for a business lunch in their private room. When we arrived, there was no private room and they put us in the... break room with the mops, cleaning products and dirty laundry. Staff was dressed like they were headed to the beach. Notprofessional at all. And the food was not good. The pork tacos were 80% fat and 20% meat. They put the wrong sauce on thechicken sandwich. I was embarrassed that I brought people there. Read more

Restaurant Holmes is serving up unique small plates with local fresh ingredients, a seasonal menu, and craft beverages in the... iconic "The Jones House" in Alpharetta. Per sign in 1914: " 'The Jones House', a craftsman style home was built for Will Jonesand his wife May Jackson Jones at a cost of $515.00....In July, 2018, Restaurant Holmes opened in Jones House becoming the CityCenter's development's first tenant to open." I loved the sunny porch, the large floor to wall mural of the wolf, and the "keepthe vibes" fluorescent neon sign which made the perfect photo op. There was also an orange statue of Buddha that you can rub forgood luck and an out-of-this-world "To Mars" panel art. One thing that was really cool were the ice cubes that were engravedwith "Holmes".This would be a great spot for a cozy date night or family get-together. What I tried at Restaurant Holmes. I hada cocktail called "Pretty in Pink" which had gin, bergamot, hibiscus, citrus, and bubbles. Then "Big Willy" poured up withbourbon, passionfruit, and citrus. Next, it was time for Staples (Appetizers) and I went with the brussels sprouts that hadKorean barbecue sauce, creme fraiche, toasted seeds, and chives. The brussels sprouts were really yummy mixed with the Cacio ePepe, handmade noodles, parmesan and cracked black pepper. Then was time for the Proper Entrees and I went for the Game Henserved with mushroom risotto and pan gravy. I also tried the Hanger Steak which was eight ounces and wood-grilled with a beermarinade paired with a carrot puree, broccolini, and crispy garlic. Restaurant Holmes: keeping the vibes! Beautiful big patio and EXCELLENT service!! Don was very attentive and friendly. The drinks are excellent & strong, but a little... pricey ($15). We didn’t pay that much for drinks on the rooftop across the street where there’s a better view and in thesun. We were offered a special they had from a party the night before that was “more tender than filet Mignon” (wagyu) butit was very chewy and did not live up to our expectations of what wagyu is. The price is normally $50-60 so $32 was a greatprice but again it wasn’t impressive. We would come back and try something else in the future since the drinks, patio &service was nice but overall just ok. Read more

The drinks are always tasty. They're not overly alcoholic though. The octopus and corn (shown here) have not been my only... flavorful options and I would recommend this place again. The vibe here is fun and whimsical but the bar is a little too crampedand doesn't seem as inviting as most places. Read more
