Coming from California, I know good chicken tenders but this place beats them all! The breading on the chicken was the perfect... crispiness and the high quality chicken meant every bite was enjoyable. Incredibly poor service. Their special was chicken fingers (3) and a good helping of french fries. The special price this day... was $5. Normally it would have been $11. If someone has asked for $11 for 3 chicken fingers, I would have walked out. Afterwaiting more than 35 minutes, I almost did. The fries were good. The chicken fingers were over-cooked. This place is amazing. Always fresh food and very friendly staff. We ordered the ponko chicken strips which are unique. I had... the spicy strips. with sides of sweet potatoes and regular potatoes we love them. I for one love adding honey to sweetpotatoes at home. My husband had. chicken strips in BBQ sauce rice and french fries, the rice lacked salt. coleslaw if theyadd sugar it would be more interesting. and the portion was amazing. Huge chunks. Good taste, Good quality. We ordered thethree house sauces and they are amazing. We definitely love the green beans. Another delicious meal at Ponko Alpharetta. Love this location and the staff. Kinley always brightens our day when we see her... and makes the best suggestions to try. We were hoping to get some fried chickens for dinner but we completely were disappointed. The chicken cutlets are so small and... dry. The green beans side which they charged an extra of $2 is extremely salty. I understand they raised the prices because ofthe whole pandemic thing, but the quality has gone down dramatically. I?m sorry but we won?t be coming back. It?s been almost 2years since we came here, however the experience wasn?t that good. Hopefully they can somehow adjust the sauces and thetechniques of frying those chicken cutlets. Read more
This place is awesome. New to the area and very different. Food always fresh and very friendly staff. I've had the baked wings... which were very flavorful and crispy, the tacos were plenty, and the ponko chicken strips are one of a kind. I had the spicystrips. My wife had the salad and the portion was amazing. Huge chunks of chicken. House made ranch. They even have a bar areawith a real mixologist. Great for lunch or early dinner. Read more
