Reviews for Nalan Indian Cuisine in Alpharetta, GA
Wow! Ok so this maybe a hidden gem in the tranquil & beautiful city of Alpharetta GA. Led by fantastic ownership, this was a fun... experience for me! Get ready for a mouth full of flavor & authentic Indian herbs & spices. I started with the creamy corn &curry leaf soup which was very clean, earthy & good for the soul, I then dived into the Gobi 65 which is essentially cauliflowerseasoned & fried to perfection! The Samosa’s were delightful & addictive. If you like onions, the Onion Pakoda is the perfectappetizer for you. My entree was the mixed vegetable curry with white rice! I don’t know where I found space to enjoy all ofthis amazing food! Excellent service overall, food arrives to the table nice & hot, enjoy! I’ll be returning in theforeseeable future. Thank you! My family always wishes to dine in person here. Since the pandemic we had always ordered here, either be it a birthday party or... party that we make up one just to have food from here. It is a wish to come true today and had a wonderful lunch as usual butwith dine in experience with family. Ordered the long pending recommendation from my owner friend to have tandoori pomfret.Regular menu of chicken ambur biriyani, Nethily fry, chicken 65. Nicely spent 2 hours and happened to meet a new friend and hisfamily moved to the city from the west. I had recommended them kongu nadu mutton gravy. They have a party hall too for specialoccasions with friends and family. Read more
Went to Nalan today for lunch…my family of 4 and my 2 friends were the first ones there when they opened at 11:35Am. We are... from orlando and chicago. Ordered Filter coffee which was awesome then muttton Chukka, chilli chicken, veg and chicken kothuparotta. Vanjaram fry, but main highlight was appam with fish curry and appam with egg curry which was our most favorite.Thalapakkati chicken biryani tasted great too. Service was good (just had to ask napkins couple of times and we had to ask themto remove finished plates as they only come to serve the food and leave immediately). Waited 30mins for the food to come but itwas worth the wait. Read more
First time ordered from the restaurant and it was amazingly good food. We ordered chicken and mutton biryani, chicken 65, fish... and a chicken dish. They were all very flavorful and tasted fresh. Conveniently located right in the intersection of Northpoint Parkway and Windward Parkway with ample parking. We will definitely order again and go eat there. Read more
I was visiting Atlanta and tried this restaurant with family. In general food is good. We all liked appetizers but entrees are... subpar. Tables are close to each other and we ended up sitting on the table right next to the entrance so it was bit odd toenjoy the food while people waiting at the entrance to be seated staring at our food. Probably restaurant management should NOTlet people wait in that cramped area. Read more
This is one of the best indian restaurant in Alpharetta. Food tastes good. All appetizers are really tasty and crunchy. We... ordered hyderabad egg dum briyani, kothu parotta, appam with fish curry and appam with chocate chips on top. Everything wastasty. Appam was very soft and fish curry was yummy. I highly recommend this restaurant. Big parking lot in front of therestaurant. If you reserve it earlier you don't need to wait. Otherwise we do have waiting times over the weekends. We enjoyedour food. Read more
#Nalan is such a gem! Everything we tried was excellent. The #1 dish was most definitely mutton chukka varuval. It's a dry roast... mutton dish under appetizers but I recommend getting some appam as a side with it to enjoy the masala! We tried both the appamand iddiappam. The appam entree comes with two large appams! While they checked in on us for food, they never brought us morewater, and we had to get up and grab more ourselves. Something to improve on! Overall, food was excellent and we can't wait tocome back! Check out Nalan if you haven't yet - you won't regret it. Read more
Absolutely fantastic Indian food! If you’re a regular, uncultured white guy like me, I’d suggest you invite one of your... Indian friends to join you to help interpret/understand the menu. Even if you don’t have Indian friends, still go! Just pointat anything on the menu and order…it’ll be amazingly good (…I think I’m not addicted to goat meat)! ???? The servicewas quick and friendly. I’ll definitely make a trip (even if it’s far out of the way) to visit this place again! Read more
